    I really wish these great designs would get higher quality, Animated-like figures.

    it\'s a shame you can tell the design team really want to make something great with things like pistons in the feet etc... and then they need to make it to X cost to make Y margin when it\'s sold for Z.

    Is that Megatron the upcoming Megatron from Cyberverse, or a new design for a toy we haven't seen yet?

    It looks like Cyberverse thanks to the overall design, but it the head makes me question if we might be getting a new Voyager or Leader Megs in WFC.

    I'm going to go with this being for the upcoming WFC line after the current trilogy. This design hardly matches the upcoming Cyberverse toy designs we've seen.

    Upon looking closely at it, it's definitely Cyberverse Megs. The arms, legs, and head all look exactly like those of the Cyberverse Ultimate Megatron we've been seeing. Those aren't tank tread on the shoulders, just the interior design.

    Im not sure if anything beyond the overall look is something that would ever be intended for a figure at any stage.

    Where do they show where they are going to have hollow parts and friction joints instead of metal pins?

    Such great designs. Such bargain-bin figures so far. They deserve so much better.

    The cannon hinge system also matches the CW leader Megatron.

    Initial design art is extra detailed. Then through development the details are pulled in some.
    In design stages you can go full out pistons and more, then in further development, that gets pulled in to ball hinges and other elements, and some details like the piston system either changes to sculpted in or decorative, or removed entirely.

    Then depending on planned aesthetic, other changes may happen too that embelishes aspect. But everything starts with a brainstorming design session and sketch from which character/bot is getting created. And all sorts of other steps to physical prototype, then back for final okays or changes, then off to production.

    Maybe if Hasbro focused on real engineering, rather than pretend engineering, this toyline wouldn’t suck so bad.

    Yes, though it looks like they borrowed the engineering if anything as the design is definitely for Cyberverse Megs.
