Apparently that’s Shadow Striker. Another female Decepticon who is slated to appear alongside Slipstream.

 

AFAIK we were told that there's a Decepticon female called Shadow Streaker, but the identity of that particular character has never been revealed. People have just been logically assuming that they're one in the same.

 

She looks a little... 

 

Could work as an obscure and shitty reference to that one video game where Transmetal Blackarachnia was a thing but she was weirdly elongated for no reason. I wouldn't put it past the current TF team to directly mock Beast Wars fans that way.

While I wouldn’t mind a Cyberverse version of her, I kind of want a Hasbro release of Legends Blackarachnia.

 

Given that we know Slipstream from Animated is a character in Cyberverse, I suspect a portrayal similar to Animated BA will be used.

In general, it strikes me that (and this makes some sense with the success of lines like Superhero Girls) that the young markets will probably try to have Transformers with closer to 50-50 gender parity.

I wouldn’t be shocked in the next 5 years to see Victorion or Lifeline or Nightbird in kid lines.

It alway struck me as a missed opportunity not to have an almost G.I.Joe like rivalry between Prowl and Jazz (ninjas in Animated) and Bludgeon and Nightbird. I keep expecting more things like Prowl’s nunchucks to pop up outside Animated and more characters with shared themes to get grouped off.

Or, say, Lockdown vs. Devcon as a mercenary showdown. Maybe with the two of them as rogue Junkions, one good and one evil.

Or the Victorion twins on a double date with Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. Or Sideburn and Hot Rod played as brothers.

I think my brain is kind of wired for what I think Sunbow would do with these characters, which I don’t think even most of the Sunbow offshoot continuities like Wings or Dawn of the Predacus really took into account. They generally seemed like they wanted to do something more real and mature as a continuation whereas I’m more attuned to the idea of Powerglide and his human girlfriend getting married, how Slizardo and Devcon stopped being friends, or figuring out what Elita One was doing after Alpha Trion and Optimus died.

That we might be getting toys or character appearances of these characters. Though I for one am hoping they don't do another romance plot line for BA. I think Twice is more then enough.

 

Blackarachnia? Yes please! I hope she gets a better toy in generations. That legends toy that was remodeled from that animated figure was downright terrible.

I've been told that the people who attended the press conference has seen the reveal of Shadow Striker and matches up with the character on that box.

 

Oh, wow. I've never seen what she actually looks like in the game. That's... oh my. Why couldnt they have her as a straight redeco like Starscream Waspinator was?

i hope that mega mighties is a g1 blind bag set with some decent quality, just like tiny titans but better. As for the black arachnid trademark, yes i would very much like a toy for her please!

 

Well that design of (potentially) Shadow Streaker has me interested. I don't really hate what I've seen of Cyberverse so far so here's hoping. If these two trademarks are registered because of their return for Cyberverse I am curious how they'll go about their designs though, since most of the ones so far seem to be G1 based, but they clearly have new stuff as well, hmm.
