I'm ready for a new fan club! :D

Also ready to see if HasCon is going to be permanently in Providence or not. It makes sense for their first year to be in their backyard, similar to how Botcon 2005 was in Fun Pub's backyard.

I had a great time at Botcon 2007. I imagine that they also intend to take advantage of the theater right there for exclusive sneak peaks of upcoming shows and movies for 2018. :D

Woo! Right up my alley, almost literally. Where it\'s held is about 35-40 minutes from my house. I\'m excited and I know my kids will be too. Glad I can do something like this with them!

    Veeeeeery unlikely, I think.

Hascon exclusives will almost certainly be similar kind of stuff to what we get as SDCC exclusives, rather than Fun Pub's bonkers stuff.

Personally, if I wanted to go to a convention featuring multiple brands, I'd go to SDCC, NYCC, Wizard, or one of those. I guess that's what Hasbro is trying to create for itself, but I'll miss the official convention being all about Transformers. Thank goodness for fan-run conventions!

This seems very promising. Lots of potential for exclusives and convention material with having the full company backing it as opposed to only sections of the brands like before.

Distant locations + being combined with things I don't care about = a decided lack of interest in attending. I'll be curious what exclusives come out of these new conventions, but at this point I'm more curious about this new club.

Yeah how I feel about exclusives from either entity will be determined by whether they're able to do more interesting stuff than what we get at SDCC. A slightly different retail figure with a fancy box won't excite me much.

You could walk in for only about $20 a day, but you didn't get autographs, had to wait for others to get into panels, etc. The non-toy option that got you autographs and proper panel access for the whole weekend was upwards of $150... and really not worth it at all. For folks who didn't want the toys, I always recommended buying them anyway, and then selling them either to a dealer at the convention or on eBay after the show. You'd almost always end up better off than buying that non-toys option, and depending on the year, could actually even make a modest profit.

    THIS.

Plus, the fans will need to organise a satellite event nearby, so thta 3rd party figs can be a-purchased, as I doubt dealers will be able to sell them at a convention wholy owned by Hasbro.

Cool, loving it more than Botcon already. Hopefully Hasbro will work on everything that other company was neglecting.

This has potential. I have heard fans talk about the Rhode Island Botcon as one of the best, so I'd be interested in getting out there if possible.
