People talking about LEGO G.I. Joe and Power Rangers in the thread, but I think the better choice would be for Hasbro to go with Mattel here. The Halo figures they make in Mega Construx have some really dynamic posing which fit both franchises way better and fall within acceptable parameters to be posed with Transformers. LEGO minifigures would look very out of place with the relatively realistically designed Transformers.

Forgot to mention, but this will be really fun for 1:64 collectors too and people who want an easy collection of Transformers vehicles. They might even enhance the Ark/Nemesis. I never gave Hot Wheels much of a thought but now I see there's quite a few things in that general scale including human figurines and dioramas. This might be the best way to have a little life in a Transformers collection.

Oh yeah Power Rangers are definitely brick worthy. And for Transformers, my personal request would be some minifigures various human characters. I mean LEGO figures and Transformers figures actually scale very well together. LEGO could make minifigures of various humans like the Witwicky’s, both G1 and live action movies, Marissa Fairborn, Dr. Arkeville, Silas from Transformers Prime, etc. it would actually be a good marketing strategy for people to get both toys.

Been wanting this type of colab for a long time, though not necessarily from Hot Wheels. I was hoping to see TF get licensed to a premium brand like Johnny Lightning or Greenlight who would do them far more justice. Hot Wheels alt scale and alt accuracy are not consistent.

The one time we could have alts in real world scale to each other (since bot mode doesn't have to be taken into consideration) won't happen under Hot Wheels. Optimus, Motormaster, Brawl, Onslaught, Groove, Starscream, etc. will all be the same size as the cars in "HotWheels scale".

And then there's the vehicle accuracy. Every vehicle is going to be rolling on "dubs". All flashy and awful. Super metallic flake and chrome paints. Ugh.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but my expectations are obviously very low. :lol

I want a full on Hasbro invasion of MOTU Origins.

My Little Pony warhorses rode by G.I. Joe, Power Rangers, and Visionaries in furry loincloths. Grayskull Maximus.

Wow, an amazing announcement. If companies learn to keep working together and stop fighting each other, they can accomplish great things like this. Nintendo could learn something from this…

Also I hope it doesn’t end here and Hasbro also announces collaborations with companies like Bandai Since they already worked together with Takara Tomy. They should make Modern GoBots figures and also introduce Machine Robo internationally for the first time.

Hot Wheels scaled die cast Transformers with fully articulated robot modes would be awesome. At that small scale it lends itself well to playsets.

Maybe the Hot Wheels just be existing non-transforming Hot Wheels with G1 deco or be like the small G2 cars released towards the end of G2 with minimal articulation but with diecast car parts. I’m hoping for transforming figures with diecast and full articulation though(like Core figures).

G1 Sideswipe Hot Wheels toy that transforms into a lambo with diecast exterior and full articulation? Bring it!

I thought about that, since Jada and Jazzwares already made small scale Diecast non transforming vehicles what if Mattel takes it one step further and just makes transforming Hot Wheels with Hasbro/Takara Tomy?

Oh huh, that is actually really cool! This has the potential for a lot of fun opportunities for collaborations, maybe we'll get an official version of Super Thomas finally :D

Would be cool to see some Masters of the Universe collabs as well, the Kingdom Tigatron mould is right there for Battle Cat and Panthor and I guess we could see versions of the Wind Raider and Land Shark too. I would absolutely die to get some She-Ra collabs based on the Netflix show (as evidenced by my Catra avatar I am quite fond of that iteration of She-Ra), but considering Mattel is hellbent on only using the 80s version She-Ra for any and all merch they do I'm not holding my breath. Much as I would love to see Cheetor retooled into Melog or Catra...

Transformers Hot Wheels are absolutely happening, but... What about a Hot Wheels Transformer? Give me an Autobot Twin Mill!

Oh also, a pink Corvette that transforms into a blond-haired fembot called Barr-Bee. Please :p

I'd bet you a shiny silver dollar that the Hot Wheels don't transform.

Yeah I’m not interested in a merger. Without the DC license there’s nothing at Mattel I care about personally.
