wtf....... It would be so much better if it was like only double retail... $80 difference because of the .5 and you know I have to have every Rodimus, but this is nuts.

OH GOD. Now HASBRO is getting in on the AFA stupidity?

    This does not bode well.

Something seems off about hasbro being able to manufacture a product, Have it graded and then sell it even higher as a collectible. So it goes...

Yeah, like I stated in the 25th ANN Gi Joe thread, I don't like Hasbro being able to keep any number of their exclusives, surely getting a deal with the AFA, and then scalping their own toys. And also as a I stated, maybe their is some reasons and facts I don't know that make this all make perfect sense.

You've got to be kidding me. Isn't this some sort of collusion?

Figure grading is such a subjective thing. Even AFA can't normalize the scores they given out, their track record speaks for itself.

Gah. I would've liked the opportunity to get one of these off the website at whatever they were selling it for originally. Now I have the "opportunity" to buy a mint one for several times retail, plus it pretty much kills the option of opening it to play with, which is what I'd really like to do. Thanks a whole fucking lot, Hasbro.

They were sold on the streets in Asia. The production run was never meant just for SDCC.

I figured that this is HBTS' attempt to get into the collector's market and take some of their share away from BBTS. Why support scalpers when you can do it yourself?

Yeah, that is pretty much the dumbest crap I have ever seen, Hasbro. Why alienate your fans by taking a toy that is in extremely high demand and scalping it?

With the thinking behind this move, you will see Walmart MP SS's on Hasbro's website AFA graded.
