It's most likely Soundwave, but I hope it's Grimlock in case they do release these G1 toys and we'll finally have a official reissue of Grimlock, I know a lot of wishful thinking there.

I vote for Soundwave. Being one of, if not THE, most influential and memorible character in the entire history of the series, it's a shame he isn't in there already.

As for runner-ups I would choose:

    Jazz
    Ironhide
    Brawn
    Optimus Primal

    Soundwave.

But when they finally get to humans I want to see Peter Cullen, Frank Welker(SP) and Chris Latta....and although he is new Aaron Archer is already a legend in the TF community.

    Thanx

    ??????????????????????????????????????????????

thats a hard one:inquisiti  i would like to see DEVASTATOR in there, but does that count as its a combiner?,but if not that i would say GRIMLOCK, or IRONHIDE, actually i thinkIRONHIDE should def' be on there, its a tie :duel  between IRONHIDE and GRIMLOCK for me.

these are hall of fame figures... isnt it so blatantly obvious it is g1 they are looking for. if it is not to you reread the article about ten times, it will eventually dawn on you. you dont see new baseball players getting into the hall of fame, its the older tried and tested players.

my vote is for soundwave, and from looking over every post, it will be soundwave because so far he has a 30% lead.

I agree. Anyone who was a kid in the 80's and into Transformers was a Soundwave fan. The toy, the voice, the cassette extras, etc,.. no kid did not like Soundwave.

Why he's not on that list already is beyond me.

What, you can't have transformers without SUPERION!!! But I seriously, It'd probably have to be Soundwave like everyone says, or it'd be nice to see devastator!

My vote is for Jetfire, he didn't get a lot of love in the original cartoon, but has had more and better roles (then stuck as a transport) in recent years, and isn't so over used like others.

Soundwave shortly followed by Grimlock and Jazz for me!

Maybe this is to decide the next Masterpiece figure????

So, what's the criteria for selection? Did the character named ever DO anything of merit? Will we get a REAL choice, or are we just going to choose one bullet from a few pre-selected choices? (a line in the release at least suggests to me they intend not to use pre-selection, but I wouldn't want to bet on it) How will Hasbro filter through the multiple different types of, say, Soundwave that might be chosen? Or does everything default to "Generation One" unless specifically stated otherwise?

Seems to me they're just saying "Name your favorite Transformer, and we'll validate it for you!"

My vote goes for Soundwave as well. He was there from the beginning and he played a significant part since.
