The only thing I like about the Takara TFA figures are the properly colored faction symbols.

I am thinking about buying sheets from Reprolabels and covering all the hideous silver and gold symbols.

The only problem I have is I don't know if the small ones are small enough for Lockdown, Blackarachnia and Oil Slick's symbols.

Has anyone done this already? I would love pictures.

i posted my collection a few days ago in the collections forum, most of them i have rebadged with the red or purple symbol. it will take about two shhets each to rebadge everything.

Did you get the symbols with a white or silver background?

 

white for autobots, silver for decpticons

Definitely 'Con rubsign - they make a Lockdown sticker set, so that would have the rubsign correctly sized.

 

If the Almanac is to be believed, it should be an Autobot rubsign.

His size, alternate mode and the fact that he tried at the Cyberninja dojo (which no Decepticons have) and openly states he's not a Decepticon pretty much confirms him a former Autobot.

 

Yep, just realized that.

Also his concept art showed him with a stolen part with a Decepticon symbol crossed out and if I remember correctly, he has also said in the show that he isn't a Decepticon.

 

So, yeah, I'd stick an Autobot rubsign on him.

 

Definitely recommend getting reprolabels. I did have to trim bits off the smaller sized con logos to get the white borders to nicely outline the emblem though. Hard to explain here but you'll get what I mean when you get the stickers.

Did you just purchase the plain sheets of varying sizes?

 

Yep. Like someone else mentioned earlier, get 2 sheets each. There's alot of stickers per sheet, but the sizes you'll want are limited quantity.

 

So far I've Repro'd Voyager Prime, Prowl, Ratchet, BB and Swindle. I wanted more toon accurate figs and I think the Repro's are great for them. I also liked the fact that BB has his wide mouth now. The only issue I had was you had to choose either BB with mouth, or with battle mask. I really didn't like putting those tiny stickers for Ratchets wheels though, that was a pain.

 

Which set is your favorite?

 

Haven't Reprolabeled any of my Animated yet, although I'm getting afully close to having to do it to my Blitzwing due to his symbol starting to wear, and both my Ani. Laserbeak and Ratbat need symbols (they count as full fledged TF's in my opinion, they need Decepticon symbols!)

 

Well I really liked the Prowl and Ratchet set. It gave them a more screen accurate look. Plus prowl comes with a battle mask sticker, but i didn't apply it. The BB is good, however for the complete screen accurate pics you have to swap his feet. Great sets.
