I have not but others have ordered and didn't have issues. Batman can vouch for them.

I ordered the first Crossfire set off them a couple of years ago. Found them to be the cheapest price from an online store at the time. I don't recall exactly how long it took, but it was a reasonable amount of time. Anyways, it was a good experience and would order from them for the right item and shipping price.

That's what I heard. Hasbro laid the smackdown on 'em for carrying the high quality KOs. They ended up losing a ton of money due to buying the stock they had that they could no longer sell.

**EDIT** Though looking at the site, it's been updated. They have preorders for items that were announced very recently. Maybe they started back up?

For whatever it's worth they have the best website out of any store I've seen. Those pictures look fantastic.

And it looks like they're only selling Takara?!

I don't think they officially went out of business. There was a GIANT shitstorm with them somewhere around 2008/2009 when a ton of customers were waiting close to year for pre-orders that never came in, were waiting on refunds that took forever to get, and were waiting on stock orders that took forever to get... all while a lot of public debates were happening on TF forums with the guy who owns/owned the store. And like Insane Galvatron just mentioned, there was also a big deal around their active selling & promotion of KO products.

As for going out of business, I believe they only closed one of their two Vancouver mall locations, and the second location as well as the website was allegedly bought by some new owner... even though the original owner was kept around. Or something like that.

I'm sure a thread search here and on Cybertron.ca will turn up most of what happened. Probably worth a look for potential new customers.

For what it's worth, this is not the same A3&Up of yore. Supposedly. What happened, it appears, is that the former owner, after the issues with unfulfilled orders, finally gave up. He shut down one physical store, and dumped the website. The website was taken over by new owners and has continued.

I had good experience with them.

They ship from Canada so shipments could get stuck in customs.

A3U is now owned by someone different than during when shit went down. I think the original owner may have subletted space from A3Us brick-and-mortar store for a separate business during the early days, but I don't know if that's still continuing, as it was some time ago.

The guys running A3U tried really hard in the beginning to build up some good karma, knowing what had happened with the business before it came into their hands, and I haven't heard any huge problems about them since.
