Harley Quinn SUICIDE SQUAD Spin-Off Moving Forward At Warner Bros.; Margot Robbie Will Executive Produce

Well she was the best of the movie so this was bound to happen.

But I'm excited as all hell! Will it involve her and Ivy? Or her and Mr J?

 

Looks like Deadpool's in Celebration that Shattered Glass Sailor Moon is getting her movie.

 

I'm glad we're getting an entire movie about Margot Robbie.

 

Wouldn't a Gotham City Sirens or Birds of Prey movie make more since, I mean what could the movie even be about? We've gotten her origin and she ended up back with Joker by the end of Suicide Squad.

 

Harley is supporting two comics currently and has a lot of spin offs and one shots.
She is basically DC's current answer to Deadpool
There are lots of ways they could take the movie.

Sounds good to me. Especially if this introduces Poison Ivy and Batgirl to the DCCU. It's also cool to see Robbie not only being the lead of the film, but also producing it as well.

 

Well, Suicide Squad was pretty much made to showcase her, so this isn't surprising in the least.

 

i'll see it, but only if it is a batgirl vs harley/ivy film. that would be fantastic.

 

One of those comics is a team book and the other is non-canon with spin offs are also non-canon guest appearances and team books. There's lots of things they can do with her in comics, but I don't think in films that have to appeal too lager crowds. The only way I think a solo Harley Quinn movie could work is if they do what Captain America: Civil War did and introduce characters that could head their own movies.

Liked her enough in Suicide Squad (why didn't I join the discussion of that movie...) so I'm OK with her getting a movie. IMO, she should start out with Joker, then leave him for Poison Ivy.

Harley Quinn was probably the best thing about Suicide Squad, but I'm not sure if her character can helm a movie by herself. She definitely needs someone like Ivy to work as a foil. Just hope they don't add Joker to the mix. I didn't care for Leto's version of the character at all. Batgirl would be cool though.

Despite not liking Suicide Squad very much, I do still think Margot is a great choice for Harley. She just needs a better script and story -- hopefully this movie will deliver that.
