    I always wanted to try that classic "mission control" look ... grey slacks, a short-sleeved white shirt and dark skinny tie, with a flattop and hornrimmed glasses.

    I picked out my glasses with exactly that look in mind. Shortsleeved dress shirts are only good a couple of months in Minnesota, but I've been meaning to pick a couple up.

    I recall Wired Magazine holding an online competition for NASA's new slogan. There was a lot of generically optimistic garbage like "NASA: Exploring and Achieving," or "NASA: Reaching for the Stars," but Internet wits provided a great counterpoint. My favorite entry:

    "NASA: SHOW US YOUR TITS"

    I was thinking of taking a few pics at my new $12,000 "desk" at work, once I get it set up next month. It'll have enough monitors, buttons, blinking lights, and microphones.
