Now the RID Optimus Prime toy saying "Maximize" makes total sense.

My favorite series and toy line. I think it's awesome how Takara was able to make up a series and an entire line in a short period of time.

Yep, CR (in the form of RID) was what got me back "in to" tf's not once but twice so I for one am grateful for it.

Even weirder thinking that many of those RID watching full grown adults have kids who are watching the new RID.

would be nice if hasbro/takara would acknowledge the anniversary in some way. maybe some oldrid reissues, a dvd release of the cartoon, or maybe a botcon themed set (or two, seriously there are enough old rid characters to make two botcon sets.)

Man, I love Car Robots. Maybe this isn't the place for this sort of post, but I have a ton of good memories associated with it. It was the first time I'd ever bought anime fansubs on video, it was the first time I knew about Japan having different TF series than us, and for Primus' sake, they were cars again! It was in the damn name! It was like an old friend moving back home, you know? We were finally out of the Beast Years and I was back into Transformers big time. Happy birthday, Car Robots! I'm glad to know you.

Now, back on point: let's get some damn CR recognition around here, huh HasTak?! I've been crying out for new CHUG/Animated/RiD/whatever at this point versions of Fire Convoy and the Car Brothers for quite a while and now would be a great time. I'm not going to BotCon, but if I find out the exclusive set is Car Robots related there's not a force in the universe that could stop me from buying them.

The importance of this line should not be ignored. A line that bought Transformers and many of us back to our routes.

I have the Optimus fire truck and Ultra Magnus. Took me ages to combine them both. Its still my favorite combiner ever!

agree'd maybe one of the best toy lines even with the repaints. Shame its unlikely we will see any reissues as I hear the production costs on them were crazy compared to what they wanted and given what they give us now I'd almost say its never going to happen.

I'm honestly not the biggest fan of Car Robots.

I do however love Scourge and Sky-Byte.
