Since Im running out of room on my shelve and space is limited I stared hanging some of my figures that have planes as their alt modes. I didnt think I was gonna like it at first but didnt really have much of a choice. Now that a couple are hanging I think I looks awesome. Does anyone else do this? If so lets see some pics. :useless

Thankfully, I haven't had to resort to anything like that yet, but I've always had this idea of Armada Unicron attempting to eat Cybertron Primus just like in the 1986 movie, with three sweeps flying in a crescent moon shape to one side.

I've thought about doing this with my Milenium Falcon, but then I realized how shitty it looks from the bottom compare to the top, and the same could be said about many jetformers & friends. :(

Then uhh, getting poked in the eye at night would kinda suck ass. That too.

I actually use ACT 5 stands for stuff like this. You get 3 for like $15.

Here they are with the PE Birds:

I am currently using this with thunderwing in his Alt mode. I am getting like 3 more sets for the seekers and so on. It leaves enough room.

I don't have pictures, but I used to have about six jetformers hanging in my display room. I had Treadbolt, Fearswoop, Animated Starscream, Mindwipe/Skystalker, Universe Starscream and Gigant Bomb/Smokesniper. I used fishing lines with swivel hooks. they were really strong and allowed for bumping.

Obviously wrong toyline, and nothing is hanging from the ceiling so I'm not sure why I'm even posting this, but those lil 3M grippy things work good for haning stuff on walls...should you decide to go that route.

That sounds like it'd work really good (2 strings should stop them from spinning), and you could even do like the Fett dude & have em on the wall. That's what I wanted to do with my Batman Forever plane, but my parents didn't want me denting up the walls, so it never happened.

Also about flying upside down, why didn't I think of that? Sideways could work too...

Back when I had my large G1 collection, I had bought some hooks and fishing line in the thought of hanging my jets up. I also wanted to hang Unicron in planet mode from the ceiling along with some of the Mini-Seekers, Swoop, Powerglide if I was to have him, and possibly even Jetfire. But, it never happened.

Dammit, now I want Unicron again.

I really shouldn't have added this place to my browser's quickbar, hah...

I had this set up in my last place.

I have not got my set up done in my current house, but I like the look of the jets in the air.

for Deluxes and Voyagers, some Spiderwire fishing line (nigh-invisible and strong as hell) can work.
I'd have to get more creative with things like my Ldr Starscream, though.

for Star Wars or other things that are a bit heavier, i suggest attaching 2-3 screws/hooks and attaching those to studs in the ceiling (for safety sake).

if i could hang my Star Wars ships and GI Joe aircraft from the ceiling, I could add countless more TFs to my room without crowding them.

I've thought about hanging the Cyberverse Ark and the Orbital Assault Carrier thing Starscream came with from my ceiling since I don't really have a place to put them due to lack of space. Right now they sit with my trailers in the closet. Then that tempted me to get that SDCC Starscream Skystriker and have it "attack" the Ark.

As a model airplane builder, I have been faced with this question MANY times...everyone always asks "why don't you hang them from the ceiling?" and I always respond with "'cause I didn't just spend a month working on an airplane kit so I could stare at the bottom of it for the forseeable future. I can look at the bottoms of airplanes every day when they fly over my house."
I like the way an aircraft looks when it's sitting on its own wheels. I did however hang my Skystriker and Conquest X-30 on the wall like you would hang a picture...I'm getting ready to build a HUGE B-1B bomber kit, and I'll probably have to hang that on a wall as well, as I do not have the space to park a model airplane with a three foot wingspan.
