Anyone heading to HAMvention this week-end in Dayton, Ohio? My father in-law and brother in-law are taking me to my first one... don't really know what to expect, other then it's not Pork inventions.
I remember when an old guest brought in a Ham radio to elementary school and we played around with it. It was kinda neat
I'm told that it's not just about HAM radio's, but there are neat inventions and gadgets unrelated to HAM.
I do love gadgets, but isn't the idea of bringing HAM operators together in the same place a little opposite to the purpose of HAM radio in the first place? Then again, its just like how we communicate over the internet, and then find it nice to actually meet up with the people we type to every once in a while.
