It's probably not a reissue, but rather an overstock issue. The wave one MC I nabbed had been warming a peg for a month or so before I caved. With no other figures in sight.

Remember, supply and supply chains are highly disrupted this year.

There are two versions of Chief, one in each wave.

Yes, as I said, I have the first wave of Master Chief. I have sighted no other figure from wave one, or two at my local Wally's. It's been hit and miss with stock for months. If anything changes it vanishes within hours. There one day, and gone the next. Poof. Entire waves and pegs emptied.

I have the GameStop two-pack of CE and Infinite Chief. Hopefully both are good QC-wise, because my series 1 Chief was atrocious..
Also eagerly waiting for their 4” scale two pack. Don’t know when that’s supposed to release, but it looks great as well

Really? I haven't opened any of my Halo figures yet (I'm lazy) but what's up with the QC? Also, nice on the 2-pack. Still waiting on mine to be shipped out.

I think series 1 of the Spartan collection figures just had really loose joints. Like nearly every joint on my series 1 Chief was floppy right out of the box. Didn’t even wanna attempt fixing it bc it was too disappointing, despite the well done sculpt. They seem to have improved quite a bit now, but if you have the first wave of figures, be cognizant of that

QC is scattershot across the line. I have the white Mk. VII spartan and his joints are nice and tight without being too tight. But Chief was very tight and had to use some hot water to get his knees to finally move. My blue Mk. Vb spartan is a floppy mess along with the marine. Both brutes I have are good, the elite warlord w/ghost has looser hips.

Spartan collection wise my white Mk. Vb has a floppy right arm but other than that Chief, Jerome, and my green/grey Mk Vb are tight. Only time something actually broke was one of chief’s hands. It can peg back in but his wrist is floppy.

Just picked up most of Series 2 from EB Games Australia including the Mantis for $88. I was about to buy it online for $130 so yay! Glad I didn't.

Wave 4 of the 4” figures just hit the wild, people have been listing them on resale sites this past week or so.

Was able to get the Jega 2 pack for retail, but haven’t seen the Checkpoint set anywhere for retail.

Target’s website currently has the Mantis, Shade Turret, Gungoose, and 4” Chief at 30% off if anyone was waiting to grab them.

I’ve wanted a Master Chief for a while and saw one of these at Gamestop today for $20…which turned into $15 with my $5 coupon…haha. I don’t know how many versions of Master Chief they’ve released in this line and haven’t been following it, but the one I got says “Spartan Collection” and “HALO INFINITE” on the box. I don’t know if they call these 6” or 7”…he’s pretty big for a 6”. The figure feels and looks pretty good overall, but he’s a mixed bag. The “ratchets” in the elbows and knees are probably the best I’ve felt in a figure like this. The articulation range is generally really good as well. The ab crunch balljoint, though, is very limited and pops apart rather easily if you apply too much force. And, the knee joint pieces are a little too flexible/gummy and result in some instability and wobble back and forth. And none of the hands are any good at holding the rifle…which is a head scratcher. The grappling hook doesn’t clip onto his arm real well either. He’s a combination of really good and really annoying…like a supermodel with booger and an eyepatch…lol…

To my surprise, I found the Halo 2 Chief and Spartan Yoroi at Target yesterday. Yoroi has a lot of soft gummy joints and armor parts, but it’s understandable given the design. It looks awesome all together though, and I’m glad they brought back the chrome visors.

Halo 2 Chief has many improvements from previous Chiefs, such as proper pin colors and joint QC…except one. His right leg pops off if I move it backward or outward. I think it’s a mold error, and I can’t figure out what’s different. Might have to call Jazewares and ask for a replacement leg, because the figure is perfect otherwise; but popping off like that knocks down my enjoyment. Appreciate the chrome visor here as well. I suppose another small nitpick is the coloring, as I don’t recall Chief being this bright green in Halo 2 and especially not in H2 anniversary.

Overall though, both are cool figures and I look forward to more series. I hope they keep making improvements

keeping an eye out for the spartan collection myself

Picked up the warthog on Walmart.com for $35 shipped. Definitely worth it for that price I think.

Any chance we might see a pelican get made for this line?
