Thank god! Just let halo die! MMO's have mostly a crappy communty, Id hate to see that mixed with all the halo kids.

I think it's great news. You'd probably have 10 guys playing as UNSC, then 10,000 Spartans and like 5 Elites.
I'm sure it was for the best. Now if Microsoft would just get off Bungie's jock and let them announce the secret squad based tactical shooter they are working on that every one knows about.
MMOFPS=very much yes MMOTPS or MMORPG=very much no, especially from the cartoony WoW look in some of the screen shots. The concept art offers some nice peeks at stuff though (female elites and brutes, etc.). ALSO, Buzzbeak, new Bungie Game should be announced by tomorrow morning, the countdown clock is back on their homepage. DN
This. Anybody who plays Halo 3 online knows the score. It'd be awfully hard to run a UNSC/Covenant war in an MMO when nobody plays Covvies.
Got me. Maybe that's why it was dropped. Hopefully with Halo Wars coming out, they can think of new and better directions to take the franchise if they really must go on. I would like some more novels, though.

Halo was orignally intended as a MMOFPS. Okay, to be really technical, it was orignally gonna be an RTS, then an MMO-third-person-shooter (MMOTPS?), then it became a FPS.
Seems pretty generic to me. You've got your heroic guy in suit of armour, and hes fighting aliens. This is coming from someone who likes Halo. That said, I dont think I've played an FPS that WASNT generic.
Crazy Twin Twist? Thats something Id like to see, provided it doesnt end in a strike from the banhammer. Can Boardwise remove your power first? But go on, post some examples, I would actually like to see what classes an FPS as generic.
