It's probably weird for me to ask this in my own thread, but does anyone have some ideas for media to consume during the Halloween season? I mean like movies, books and television episodes. Sure, there are the usual horror things but I tend to prefer a goofier side to Halloween. Something cheesy and/or with a sense of humor, maybe even nostalgia. Just about everything I have seen in must-watch/read lists get too serious. Anyone got ideas? Would be particularly fond of reading material.
Might be working that night. But the boss said we could dress up if we wanted lol Now I'm just trying to think of something to be that's not scary or anything.
I think my nephew wants to dress up as Batman this year. Last year, he was a blue Minion and the year before was a normal yellow minion. I'm gonna get 2 bags of assorted Hershey chocolates. One to share in my family, 1/3 to my nephew (those baby teeth are gonna drop anyways) and the rest... ALL FOR METALRYDE!!! I wonder what costume my youngest nephew will wear, chosen by his mom.
Yeah I know, I have a few things in mind it's just by the time I get around to finding my size in stuff.. if it's even there.. I'm too late and Halloween is the next day. And I don't have enough time anymore to build my costumes like I did a few years ago.
Going to rip out the electronics, Tubing, pathetic excuse for a ribbon cable and paint this. Got a frame and I'm going to cut a motherboard this weekend. Waiting on my v-clip. I'll build a full sized wand after Halloween.
I will also be a Ghostbuster this year. This is the second pack I have built. This time it took about 2.5 months and I just completed everything last weekend. I built a pack last year but it fell apart while trick or treating with my daughter and then it fell to pieces when we moved this summer. The suit and other pieces I had last year but the pack is a mostly new build, while recycling a few parts from my old destroyed pack.
: Sounds like me on the rare occasion that it actually snows here. @AutobotAvalanche A discount ninja? Is that the ninja version of a mall-cop? JK.
As a cosplayer, I should like and enjoy Halloween more, but I always have to work, so that puts a bit of a damper on it. Plus, I work in a white collar law office, so dressing up, even if there's a costume contest really isn't a good idea. Instead, when I get home, I'll turn off the lights, hope the neighborhood kids don't egg my house and watch "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" for the 35th time.
I've tried so many times on building a pack. I even almost bought a Studio Creations shell but, the amount of work on that is tremendous. I sat by for years and watched the Matty stuff go when I should've bought it cheap. Maybe one day when Anovos decides to actually produce their pack.
This is really great work! Aslo, I must say, I love that you blurred your face. So many people just love posting their faces all over and have no value for privacy.
That was a pain in the ass. I have a new, accurate ribbon cable on the way. That one is held in with tape. I also forgot to mask the tube up top. Gonna add the ion arm today. Toilet float rod FTW
My wife, myself, and my brother and his fiancé are going to a fancy house party this year. I paid to have one of my mates make us custom Halloween costumes for the occasion. I'll be the Master Chief, my wife will be a lovely Captain Marvel, my brother Spartan Locke, and his fiancé will be Spider Man 2099. Should be a pretty good time .
Well, I might be handing out treats this year dressed as Mr. Robot (Christain Slater) as the hardest part of that outfit would be the hat...which thanks to Lootcrate DX from last December I actually own a perfect replica of.
Just ordered an Anakin Skywalker costume (black tunic, pants, and hooded cloak). Was the only thing I liked that I could buy and receive on such short notice. Don't leave your Halloween costume shopping to the last minute, folks. I got my lightsabers ready, and cleaned off a pair of old black polished military boots (not going to waste additional funds on proper costume boots when I could use that money for toys ).
This year my daughter asked me to bake a pie. A pumpkin pie? First the tradition, now the desserts. Makes me wonder how I managed to dodge getting this assimilated. Anyway pumpkin carving tonight! And apparently some pie. Can't wait!
