http://www.cnn.com/2006/HEALTH/05/03/obese.man.reut.reut/index.html I think if I ever hit 4 digits for weight I'd throw in the towel.
as a fat person who is currently tyrying to lose weight i can feel bad for him. But at the same time when he claims he does not know what happened to him I call Bullshock. I got fat becasue oif the way i chose to live and what I chose to eat.
It's good to hear that someone takes responsibility. Too many people get obese and act like they had nothing to do with it. Good luck with your weight loss. Hope you get trim in no time.
It's one thing to be 6ft 250 and fat But it's ANOTHER THING to get obese to the point you can't move You'd think he'd have gotten the point when he weighed 600lbs How does a person not notice when their bellly hangs down to their knees?
I guess it just takes some people longer than others to get the wake up call. Mine came when I got over 400 ... Im far below that now, but Ive still got a ways to go.
WEll i appreciate teh encouarging words. as of January 1st 2006 i weighed approx 440 now it is 5 months later i have dropped over 60 pounds but my ultimate goal is to reach 230 in three years. I have a very reliatic appraoch going into this i know i am going to hit plateaus and such. Let me tell ou folks just from me cutting out fast food has helped me a lot. and so has the jared program along with exercise. Peace Out Scourge
I guess I'll quit being depressed about weighing 240 and being 6ft tall then.... *eats another Honey bun*
I'm about 300 myself.. I don't look like i weigh that much though.. I'm lazy and I don't care.. But i could never let myself get THAT big..
Yea cutting out fast food does complete wonders. I stopped eating fast food completely for about two years and I dropped from 230 down to 150 in about two and a half years of no fast food and only casual excercise. Now I'm at the point were I actually want to weight more than I do so I'm trying to lift weights and such to put some pounds of muscle on.
Wow. Suddenly being stuck at 220 doesn't seem so bad. In spite of all efforts I can't seem to lose a single pound of that shit. Excercise, diet, NOTHING works. My stupid body lays down ever ounce of fat it can find and refuses to metabolize anything. Been stuck at this weight for nearly 10 years. 6'2" by the way.
Great to hear it. As for me, I'm also cutting down on my eating habits and planning to go out for walks or riding a bike. I've noticed that I lost some weight ever since I started working full-time 2 years ago which is a great improvement.
Congrats on your success Scourge and keep it up! I hope you get where you wanna be. As for the guy the topic is about...he MAY get gastric? Damn. I hope that turns into "will."
He must have some weird genetic issue to go from 290 to 1200. I just can't imagine packing on 1000 pounds and not trying to do anything about it or wondering why.
You know, I think I'd be looking for help once I hit the 500 mark. Like a stapling or buying a trained monkey to bite my hand whenever I reached for a doughnut.
I too want to congratulate you on yuor success. You are doing it the right way, over time. I too need to lose some weight (only 20 I would and should be about 150). I can not imagine weighing 1200 lbs.
No kidding, I've cut junk food out completely and it makes a lot of difference. I used to eat way too much of that crap back in college, but now my girlfriend and I have made a pack to stay way from it.
