Personally I prefer naughties but I didn't think anybody would know what I meant. Maybe if I spelled it noughties or n'oughties?

Actually, a gray prototype for IF's Soundwave 2.0 was just a few shelves away from our prototypes, at TFCon. While I don't expect that there's any chance they'd fit inside of IF's figure, as cassettes, I do think they will fit with him.

In robot mode he's about the same height as DX9's Soundwave, so the scale there is close enough. Aesthetically he is very blocky, and more or less an updated G1. I don't think there's that much stylistic difference, other than these not having that trademark IF chunk.

    Thank you for the reply.

it’s nice to know they will looks good enough beside him. As for the IF chunk, I’m not sure you could ever really do the IDW cassette look at such a tiny scale anyway without them basically being non-transformable. :)

It was cool seeing these mentioned in Bobby Skulface’s sit down Saturday.

Definitely, but it would’ve been even cooler if he did a pinch of research.

It was kinda funny but also kinda cringe that he kept wondering why they weren’t GI Joe accessories that then became tape bots & cons.

He also came so close to figuring out that, indeed, they fit in DX9 WiP Soundwave and MS Blaster.

Still, by the time these actually see release, I think the word will get to Skull-sama.

Yeah, I was excited because he lead the video with them, but his complete lack of any factual information was annoying.

    Come to think of it...

What with the the name of this outfit...

You’d think “knowing” more about what’s caught your eye would be more important, and, perhaps—in this instance... more than “Half the Battle!” :p

    Annnnnnnnnd now I have to.

What is that from? I can't find any info.
    Yes, but
Especially since it was made clear at the 3P panel that HTB has two lines; Masterpiece scale TFJoes and Legends scale Pocket Pioneers.

We'll see if we can clear it up for him. It is nice that he thought our stuff was one of the highlights from the panel.

BSF often starts his "Sit Down Saturday" by addressing comments/questions/errors from the previous week's episode. So if you reach out to him, there's a chance he'll clear up any confusion next week.

I can’t remember how I came across it, but it might’ve been from googling “Soundwave combiner.”

In any case, it’s from F for Feasant Designs over on DeviantArt:

    F-for-feasant-design | DeviantArt

And...uh... wooh boi has DeviantArt chosen a craptastic redesign. Hopefully it’s just for Mobile, at least, but it’s a lot slower all for it to just imitate ArtStation by my eye and memory.

Moreover, I wouldn’t copy Fes’ combination exactly in my ideal combination. Instead, that’d be:

    - Slugfest & Overkill as gauntlets like Omegamon
    - - Specifically with Overkill’s head as the Garurumon cannon
    - - And Slugfest as the Greymon sword or some approximately similar lance.
    - Laserbeak and Buzzsaw as shoulder pads
    - Rumble and Frenzy either as a jet pack or maybe hip mounted cannons
    - Glit and Ravage as slippers
    - & Ratbat forms the head (plus maybe wings, too... and maybe with Wingthing)

Granted, I don’t think there’s the hard points for all of that on either the DX9 Wip’Wave or IF’wave V2.0, but, again, that’s my ideal Soundwave MegaZord.

Conversely, having duos of Glit/Ravage, Laserbeak/Buzzsaw, Rumble/Frenzy and Ratbat/Wingthing that can all function as gauntlets, pauldrons, boots, and backpacks would allow for fans to have their own preferred MegaWave combination, which would also be pretty cool in its own right.

However, I find it hard to use Overkill and Slugfest as anything but weapon gauntlets, except for Overkill draping over Soundwave’s head and Slugfest forming a tail and back spines so that there’s a kind of DragonWave or GodzillaWave, which... is pretty cool, too! :p

Last year, I was also thinking about Soundwave transforming into Sanctuary Station and the cassette cons being station modules that circle around Soundwave in space station mode, and then eventually combine into a kind of Super Sentai Space Wave.

It’s a pretty niche concept, but it’s weird enough that it would allow for some forgiveness for them having alt modes that would allow more flexibility than having to form a squat rectangle.

i would definitely be interested in the micro joes. but not as a package deal with vehicles. i am also sure that is how most of the community would feel as well.

not everyone wants to be tied into a vehicle when they only want the mini figs.

but good luck with everything and shout out to @NOCV for calling in on a rotary phone...lol

Definitely interested in the vehicle & figure sets. Skystriker, Rattler, HISS tank...lots of great vehicles to choose from.

That video...all the stock footage made it look like the cheesy training videos we occasionally have to watch at work. Better than looking at a skull mask at least. :lol

just learned about these HTB cassette bots recently - super excited for them!!

maybe consider a master set with all 30 cassettes? or 2 sets of 15 each (one for Autobots, another for Decepticons)??
(obviously i'm planning on getting all of them, haha!) :D
