You go in, take what you need then GTFO! Men get bored after just 26 MINUTES of shopping... women after 2 hours | Mail Online That's right half hour AND THAT'S IT! Best advice for women who want their men to go shopping with them: "Men are less likely to 'act out' if promised a treat at the end of shopping trip." Another advice for you yellow fever peeps, asian women love shopping more than any other women... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
unless it's toys or comics, i can take 15 minutes, then i'll start nagging until i annoy my companion and they get out of the mall.
I'm a dude and I've always loved shopping, always will. I don't know why but that's just the way it is. I could spend an entire day in the mall. Luckily for our bank account, my wife is my polar opposite in this respect.
Clothing or groceries: an hour is pushing it. But when it comes to comics...I've spent several hours between shops in one day perusing the back issues.
When I go shopping, it's usually at the various local retail outlets I can reach by bicycle without having to negotiate major freeway interchanges. That generally leaves out Target and TRU unless I have a ride. My trips can range from 45 minutes (Quick trip to Walmart) to the three-to-four-hour range (Clear up to the Meijer at the other end of town and back). It would help if the Bicycle paths the city set up around town were actually useful rather than aesthetically pleasing (Many meander back and forth in a seemingly pointless manner, one cuts in a worthless diagonal through a neighborhood) or if motorists were a bit more tolerant of bicyclists (yeah, don't mind me, just trying to, you know, cross the fucking street here at this here crosswalk)
i fell for that trap as well about a year ago. i was comfortable with my house slippers i got a week after my car crash. my mom wanted to buy me new slippers from Sears but she didn't know what color, i didn't want to go but my sister said she'll buy me any game they had available. after 30 minutes of trying out slippers, i chose the lite brown ones size 13. and i got mortal kombat for the ps Vita.
I enjoy shopping. I don't mind spending an hour or two looking at/trying on clothes in order to get the right wardrobe setup.
This is a no brainer. Me and my wife have a joke about this. When I say, "honey, I need new pants, I am going out to get new pants." I come back with new pants. When my wife says, "honey, I need new pants, I am going out to get new pants." She comes back with 10 other items, then complains that she couldn't find a pair of pants she liked.
I also wonder if this includes research. I find for the things I buy, I do a lot of research on it. Except for clothes that is. If you include research in the purchase, then I think men spend a lot more time shopping. When I bought a new TV I said to my wife, look at this, and this, and this. She said, great, it looks like a TV, buy it.
For the MISB/MOSC collectors here, I wonder how long it takes to evaluate a specimen before they actually take it to the cashier? Taking into account that they probably check for defects in the package now...as opposed to back in the day we all grabbed one off the shelf and not have to worry about the cracks, or paint chips, or mis-aligned paint, or missing accessories.
I'm the mall rat in our family. My wife hates shopping. However, I hate shopping and going home empty handed.
