    The song is fine.

Between this and Into the Spider-Verse. I think I prefer the latter's.

I certainly don’t hate it, it’s a nice, catchy, and admittedly safe pop tune. Still don’t see why people take issue with that. It’s a nice change from the alt. rock we’ve been getting for the past few movies, which I also liked, but change is welcome, especially when it’s something relatively new for the franchise. *cough*

This is a way better choice than picking some metal song from the 80s

See autotune is fine as long as the singer can actually sing, which Hailee has proven that she can.

    Torches was fine.

I will admit I do miss Linkin Park. Imagine Dragons also could have given us something better since they make amazing music.

Exactly! And as long as the artist doesn't mumble like they do nowadays
Linkin Park will always be missed...

Redoing an 80s song is asking to piss of a few man babies. It's a good thing they didn't attempt it. This song is fairly good actually, at least as a end credits song.

Hey @SilverOptimus, I don't know why you linked OneRepublic and Republic Records in the news post. Not only does the latter predate the former, but they're also not signed to Republic.

Admittedly, nothing, but it's new for Transformers. The music of this franchise has always been rock-oriented, and while I'm sure you'd like a soundtrack that can be moshed to, not only do Paramount and Hasbro not have the clout to pull Foo Fighters for Transformers (to wit, anything else would likely be another story, hence the italics), but this movie is a big tentpole release for Paramount, who haven't necessarily been on fire as of late, so they can't really afford to portray this movie as being for just one section of moviegoers.

Listening to it right now, and it's pretty decent. Don't understand why so many are fussing over it. I never expected a cover of an 80's song, or one from the metal genre.

It's good, it has an identity and doesn't sound too generic which it's what I was worried about, I'm pretty happy with this actually, I really like it! :thumb

I find it interesting how varied opinions on the songs are. honestly, I feel like there's more variety in fans' opinions on the songs than there are in fans opinions on the movies themselves, lol.

For me, Battle Cry is by far the best of the credits songs. I honestly can't picture a better and more appropriate song to end a Transformers movie. It's epic, rousing, and calls to mind images of big battles. I like Torches second best. I think it's fitting for a medieval themed movie. It's more sober, but also hopeful, uplifting, and sincere.

I can't stand the Linkin Park songs as credits songs for Transformers movies. They're decent on their own, but I don't get how they're appropriate for the brand. They come across as slightly whiny and emo to me. They don't reflect the big and epic nature of the movies. I've come to accept (and enjoy) a lot of things about the movies, but the choice to use Linkin Park is still something that baffles me. I guess my ranking of them would be: New Divide>Iridescent>What I've Done

I'm still trying to figure out where Hailee's song fits (if it is indeed the credits song). I feel like I'd rank it higher than all the Linkin Park songs, but lower than Battle Cry and Torches. Torches took some time to grow on me, so this could go up (or down) after I listen to it more, and hear it in context of the movie. It didn't instantly click with me the same way Battle Cry did, but it doesn't feel horribly inappropriate either.
