HA Sideswipe Custom Sword and Hands (Shapeways) Hey Everyone! Here is the (near) final version of my current project. The product is a removable sword and hand replacement for the Human Alliance Sideswipe. I designed the swords to be larger, more accurate and able to fold up and be removed from the wrists. I tried to get the inscriptions on the sword, but that ended in failure as Shapeways can't get details that small for the type of plastic that I printed it on. The hands are on ball joints and are have three fingers articulated at two points each. The pictures will illustrate how the replacements fit in robot and vehicle mode. The figure can still transform properly, however, the clearance to the ground is really close with the swords in Vehicle mode. I suspect most people don't really roll Sideswipe since it doens't have much clearance to begin with, but I will attempt to modify it it a bit so it can fit better. Things to be done: Try and fix clearance issue Tighten fingers a bit Remove inscriptions on sword It should be noted that some of the plastic bleeds over a bit and is not as precise as I would have liked, hindering the connection of the sword and the wrist. Totally forgot to put the pictures in of the transformation! I'll update my post with them. Pretty essential pictures haha Its a bit difficult to see, but all you do is flatten the blades, then angle the hand downwards so it fits nicely behind the seats.
