I just got my HA bee today, and it seems like the robot mode is... a lot bulkier and even taller than Jazz and Barricade. If I recall correctly, Barricade was bigger than Bee, and I don't think Jazz is small. Does anyone notice this?

The HA's aren't really designed to be accurate in scale (just like any other scale) and weren't designed with accurate robot modes in mind either. It's not surprising that they aren't in scale, the line was supposed to resolve around the human gimmicks.

The scale is accurate (at 1:27th).

The Camaro is a big car, especially compared to the Solstice. Bumblebee is bigger than Jazz in the film. Barricade isn't much smaller for the toy, but is hunched over.

I believe the scale is based on the vehicle size, I think the transformation may result in slightly out of scale robots. Remember, the film cars didn't really have to transform.

This is true. The cars are all in scale with each other, but it doesn't mean the robots are. But like I said Bumblebee and Barricade should be the biggest in robot mode, which they are for the figures too. Jazz is a much smaller car, and the robot is a couple to a few feet (in the films) smaller than those two are.

The cars are in scale, as has been said - sadly, this doesn't correlate to robot mode, or humans. I mean, seriously - apparently the Corvette Stingray is 18 foot long and reaches up to your shoulders...

I don't think you're meant to take scale very seriously in this line - it's all about the gimmicks, and decently accurate modes compared to the props and models.

well, I do think its a very nice line. Though on a side note, my HA line's been a disappointing downward curve because the first one I own was Jazz, imo, the best of them. And then I got Barricade. THen I got skids and Bee. And the worse (Sideswipe) is yet to come

But either way, when I think of BB, I think of a small, nimble character with lots of courage, but when HA BB is like, bigger than Barricade, Jazz, etc, he is not so... in character anymore? I mean, I guess that's part of the movie-verse. Bumblebee seems much more... skilled and armed and... larger.. I mean heck, HA bee tops Ironhide >.>

Who cares? Honestly, they're never going to make figures in scale with each other. So get over it.

Yeah, bee does seem huge, but he was bigger than jazz in the movie. I think its kind of funny that skidz and mudflap are about the size of a deluxe considering how much the range costs.

I actually like sideswipe. His back-pack is a pain in the arse, but I clipped if off mine. He looks a lot sleeker without it - and it can still attach easy enough when he transforms.

I really like the look of jazz. But I think i'll wait a while - Im hoping they release him in g1 colours.

It doesn't matter at all to me. These as some of the best toys we have gotten from Hasbro. And since when has Hasbro ever worried about scale.

its not a complaint, it was just a note by me. I do love the HA line, hence why I collect it. I guess, it would have been nice to at least adhere to the "bigger smaller" scaling, as in, ex, leave Bot A to be bigger than Bot B, and not worry about how much bigger, etc.

HAs didn't claim to be 1:X with the actual model, unlike Alts/BT which appears to be more consistent in display.

If you compare the human figrues that come with them to the robots in car mode, you can see how scale isn't exactly a priority.

Bumblebee wasn't that small in the films. Certainly not as small as were traditionally used to Bumblebee being anyway.

I say they would have be in scale with the figures otherwise Sam from Bee would be too
little or too big to fit in the HA Skids or Sideswipe or vice versa. The alt modes are crucial
to keep the human figures in scale with each vehicle.

    Bumblebee - 18 ft. tall
    Sideswipe - 15 ft. tall
    Jazz - 13 ft. tall
    Mudflap - 11.5 ft. tall
    Skids - 11.5 ft. tall
    Barricade - ?? ft. tall.

I thought the scale was pretty accurate.

Despite my best efforts, I have become inundated with movieverse Bees, so the HA one stays in car mode because I like it the best out of all the Bee car molds, and because the robot mode is so oversized. I much prefer a Deluxe scale Bee for robot mode. Even if the scale isn't exact (which I don't necessarily expect), it's closer than having him nearly as tall as Leader Prime.
