    question

as new characters go in the transformers mythos what might transformers be like over time if some of them turned out to be direct transformers character counterparts modeled entirely after members of team dia gurren of gurren lagann?

to be honest if the autobots had a younger brother and older brother duo like kamina and simon fighting for them i dont think even megatron himself would be able to stand against them for very long in a fight

oh, I see someone was bitten buy the Gurren Lagann bug today lol

Let me explain something about writing for a moment. when writing a character, no matter how you write someone, they always fall into something called a Character Archetype. An archetype is basically like stated as an example, the big bro/lil bro characters. It's template to base your character your creating on.

Here are some examples using transformers prime and gurren lagann characters

    Arcee/Yoko-The Badass girl character
Optimus Prime/Simon- the sometimes misguided leader
    Ratchet/Leron - The mechanic/knock-it-all
BB/Kittan - One trying to prove themselves
    Megatron/Lordgenome - Super powerful leader

There are a lot more just off the top of my head, and tons more if just using character and archetype. All you have to do is look, and you'll start seeing patterns between a lot of shows characters.

I'll give it to the OP - at least this thread isn't about Dragon Ball. The sly dog.

Dirt Boss (Animated) - Transformers Wiki

Design influences confirmed by Derrick Wyatt. Dirt Boss also shoots things that can take control of other bots, slightly similar to Lagann Impact.

In response to Kamina and Simon vs. Megatron, you also have to realize that in general, Japanese anime characters are more powerful than western animation characters. Japanese characters quite often defy physics, fly around for no explained reason, and move at speeds unfitting for their mass. Western Animation characters are often a lot more 'grounded' in reality.
