Is it that f'ing a bunch to ask and convince Hasbro to make the figures that are supposed to be guns that...guns? It's not like toy guns are not for purchasing?
You mean that you want gun alt-modes back? That's not happening. Toy guns and the like have enough restrictions in various territories that it's not worth dealing with that legal morass just to appease people who can't mentally escape 1985.
One of Hasbro's biggest sellers is toy guns--Nerf--so it's not undoable. And they still make role play guns for other properties. They even made a sword that turned into a gun for the Last Knight. The problem is they are focused on making G1 characters look like themselves, and if they make them guns they'd have to have a lot of bright orange, which would essentially ruin the figure of the character (TR Sixshot, for example, would have multiple modes ruined if he had a gun mode with a bright orange tip). However, they did re-release the classics Megatron mold in a Platinum box set just a couple years ago with bright red shell and orange tips, so it's not like it has been totally shut down.

Basically what Blot said plus if it’s Megatron he would look more like a space gun and not a P-38. Siege Shockwaves gun mode is still there but he is to tiny to hold.
Well, we have the battle masters but that’s probably the closest we’re getting unless we want neon Megatron and Shockwave. Tbh a some neon organs highlights might look pretty good on them now that I think about it.
I'm new to the board too. That didn't preclude me from knowing about MP Megatron. It's fine if he didn't know about MP-36, but his status on a messageboard really isn't an explanation for why he doesn't know.

Fuck...chill. I've been collecting transformers since 84 and then here and there during the 2000 and bought the dw comics. I started getting with it again on this for fun and fun only.i don't know alot about mp things,I guess they are more original versions of older figures? But I don't know alot about toy rules.with guns other than highlighting the gun in neon is ok and helps dumb law officers who don't know any better,and anti 2nd amendment people know it's a toy...as for shockwave ... There is no reason at all...any good reason anyway,for a purple gun that looks.nothing like a real gun,not only because it's purple but it's a toy, looking gun,to not be made originaly. I think I've seen it on youtube. I mbv recently got into.tf again after a long hiatus,so chill keyboard warriors.

That was the Platinum Edition "One shall stand, One shall fall" set with the transparent redeco of Classics OP and Megatron released in 2016. This was an Amazon exclusive in the US and was not in stores. 2017 was MP36 and end of 2018 was MP36+. Edit: This toy does have a trigger that just makes a clicky sound.
