I have come to the decision that this is quite possibly one of the best animes ever. The art is gorgeous, the story is involving, you actually care about the characters and the musics pretty god too. Mafia + Undead + Big guns = Wicked.

I particularly like that from the first episode on, you know things are going to end horribly for one character at least, and as the series progresses you slowly realise just how evrything falls apart and just what happened to get evrything to state you see in the first episode. Great stuff.

Anybody else watched this? Loved it? Hated it? I can't be the only person to have watched this kickass series...

I've played the first game but I haven't watched the series. I couldn't find the whole thingas a set so I was avoiding it until I knew I could watch it all at once.

Hell yeah it's good! Like VS said, the art is top notch and the story is awesome. I really liked how you got to see things develop and could see where certain plot points were heading. Definitely worth a viewing if you've played the game or not.

Note: I have never played any of the games so I went into the series completely green.

Gungrave has been one of my favorite shows for a while now. I hadn't played the games going in and throughly enjoyed it. Ashe5K, Best Buy should have a nice collected set, runs around $130. Worth the price, imo.

I have to agree, KCDVD had their 50% off sale this past January and me nad three buddies went all out and picked up a bunch of series. Anyway, my one friend bought Gungrave. We watched it in about 3 sittings. It was just so damn good that you had to watch the next episode. The animation and character designs were great. The story will grab you and the character development is just damn awesome. Definately one of my all time favorites

Loved the ending song to this anime. I though it was better before everyone got the mutant treatment "beyond ze grave"
