When I first started collecting Transformers, I would only purchase those that are MIB unused or MISB in C-9 conditions and above. This only lasted for about a year as I slowly come to terms that it is impossible to get everything in such conditions, especially rare ones.

At times, when I come across better condition ones as compared to those that I have, I would get them to upgrade. However, prices of Transformers have risen but quite a substantial amount, making upgrading an expensive process.

As such, sometimes I just have to close one eye and let it go to prevent further loss of cash :tumbleweed:

Dude seriously; i really cannot stop watching your collection...
    It ROCKS!!! Damn...
I myself also collect G1 Japanese Vintage, so we can shake hands.

I'm really searching for the Japanese carded Pipes and Outback and the
boxed Windcharger and Cliffjumper. I had a chance one time to
buy the boxed Japanese Windcharger, but i choose for a carded Ramhorn. Never saw
a boxed Windcharger again... wrong choice haha!

Btw; are you know Eric (Trans-form on Ebay). If so; some of my items are bought
from you. They're doing well haha!

    Hi Floris, yeah dude. Haha.

Hmm, I thought I saw a Japanese carded Outback recently on Ebay. It didn't end very high, about 60++ USD if I remember correctly.

I am also looking for a Japanese carded Pipes as well. Damn hard to find it.

Hmm, I may have something that you are looking for. Hehe. The rare boxed Windcharger and Cliffjumper. However, there is another person who wanted it first. I shall let you know if he backs out. The items are still in transit. Stay tuned dude. Oh yah, yup. I am trans_form in Ebay (Eric). :)

awesome collection you have. Nice to see another one with a unused Battle Gaea :)  I myself like the Hasbro boxes better then Takaras but I can understand your point in the styro making it sturdier. Keep it up because it is a very very sweet collection.

Wow. You have easily one of the nicest collections I've ever seen. So many hard to find items, and all in such great condition!

It's probably one of the more valuable collections I've seen, too. Must have cost a fortune, and can probably bring in a fortune if you ever sold.

Thanks for your compliments. I think I probably spent about 75k USD so far over a stretch of 6 years. Good thing that I am finishing my collection soon. If not, I will be damn broke. :)

Good to see you here Grimlock!

I noticed that your Mirage doesn't have a grey border around the artwork... Is it from the recent Mirage, Sideswipe and Jazz deadstock that's been popping up?

What other TFs are you looking for right now? Seems like you managed to get most of the rare stuff...

Hi doomgaze_86, this is indeed one of the deadstock items that have recently surfaced. I am actually one of the sellers of Jazz, Mirage and Sideswipe too :D  Vintage Mirage doesn't have a grey border around the artwork, only the KOs have them.

For Hasbro Transformers, I will only keep them when I chance upon them. My main interest is Takara Transformers.

As I am trying very hard to complete the vintage Takara series in running numbers, one real obstacle to me is a minty unused VSX.

Hi screamerseeker, thanks. I think I will take a rest after so many years of relentless pursuit for Takara Transformers. :)

At present, I need about 16 pieces more to complete the entire vintage Japanese Transformers. I shall take my time to do so :D
