Looks awesome! I almost cracked and bought a next gen console for the first one. This one might finally do me in.

 

As soon as I saw him, I began weeping uncontrollably, as I had looked directly into the benevolent heart of our very own creator, and I found true happiness.

Holy fucking shit. I think I just shit my pants.  

 

I'm not really digging him. He looks too much like a Trex, which considering they haven't discovered Earth yet is kinda dumb. Plus the shape of the head looks wrong. Too cartoony for the realistic style.

 

i was expecting him to have a vehicle form. maybe its an animal form he has scanned on another organic planet. either way he does look very cool   wonder if the other dinobots will be in there.

 

Grimlock looks like an even dorkier version of Energon Grimlock.

Lame.

As a dinosaur fanatic, I rage.

 

I like it, although maybe he do with a bit more bulk. I wonder how big he is going by that shot?

 

I like the head design, though I can't fully make out what's going on with the body, and the legs don't look totally right.

I'm cautiously optimistic, although I was already happy with the previous WFC design.

 

I hope he has his 'wings' and if looks a lot like that DS version I will be really pleased.

 

whats been bothering me for the last 25 years is that grimlock (and company) are missing their transparent parts

 

I am also in the camp that dislikes the animal alt mode on Cybertron. Trypicon gets away with it because he's a huge monstrosity. Dinobot doesn't make any sort of sense. I much prefer his WFC designs.

 

I'll forgive it;

he's just too bloody awesome.

Grimlock was my favorite part of the WFC's Autobot campaign on the DS. Dialogue was great and he was very fun to play as.

in this continuity unicron is earth so maybe by extension earths creatures really evoled from cybertronians,so grimlocks not an animal whose extinct hes an animal from an alien world

 

I'm more excited about Optimus not looking fat crap anymore myself. Don't like the idea of dinosaur alt mode in Cybertron, Liked crazy tank better.

 

Some of the fan-angst over Grimlock's alt mode makes me chuckle: What? alien robots that change into HUMANOIDS make perfect sense, but a generic carnosaur on Cybertron is just too goofy to be believed? C'mawn . . . .

Regardless, I'm SO looking forward to stomping around, munching metal with this guy. I think he looks great, and it'll be fun to get some variety with alt modes. That's one of the elements I found a little lacking (though understandable) in the last game.

Here's hoping we get the rest of the Dinobots in the game, in a toyline, and (dare I wish it?) reissues of the original 5. Yeah, I know it's unlikely, but I'm gonna keep dreaming about it anyway.
