GL Filmverse rundown on GL Energy:

GL Central Battery on Oa & personal individual GL batteries/rings/suits = all living energy

if you watch really close when Hal is fully suited you will see energy traveling across his mask & on one of his shoulder's you will see the energy spike away & return after a charge builds up in same said area on his suit & spike in an arc similar to when the Sun has a solar flare happen.

The footage definately looks a lot more compelling than the first teaser. But, that suit...I honestly think it looks even worse in this footage than before. I will see it for sure, but, I really hope they improve that suit.

I've been a gl fan since I was a kid and I sooo want this to be awesome but right now it's second behind Capt. America on my must see list so far. Two major issues I still have are the suit still looks terrible and that Blake chick sux and can't act. Such a terrible and mind boggling choice.

Also, have they ever explained why they decided to go all cgi with the suit? A real one would just look better so why not do it? It's like they want to make it look bad on purpose or something, I don't get it.

Prolly for cost reasons I would suspect. I would assume it's cheaper nowadays to design a suit on a computer that follows human motions and such in a digital frame than it is to design a costume and have it manufactured and not rip and tear on set and have to be touchy about how Reynolds fits it. I mean look at the issue they had with thors suit not fitting right.

With the suit being CGI they can also make it look practically seamless if they get the effect down right. They did on Mark Strong so I have no doubt in my mind that they can get the detail down on a Mocap suit it will just take time.

    Like Captain America, cautisly optimistic.

My main gripe with this and CA are the actors playing the titular heroes. I'm not a big of Evans or Reynolds.

I find it funny that that first spot uses the weird siren sound from the DotM trailer. Otherwise looking better and better. :D

Has anyone heard about the voice of Kilowog? One site I saw had Michael Clarke Duncan in talks for it, and then someone update the mecca of all movie knowledge (NOT), IMDB with Dennis Haysbert as Kilowog. I can see Duncan more than Haysbert, as Haysbert would be deep enough voice wise, but not gruff enough I think. Duncan could pull both off, IMHO

Imagine her in the modern Star Sapphire outfit and you'll see why she was cast.

I take it that you're an acting coach, then?

I know I'm not an acting coach, but when you have as shitty of delivery as she did in the trailer, there may be a problem.

"Hal, you're late...this test is important...." That line alone was delivered as if she was reading from a cue card at slow speed.

I will reserve my complete judgement on her for now, but if it is anything like the trailer, she's in trouble.

We already have Hammond, Parallex, Sinestro's inevitable betrayal in this film and maybe Krona. We have on too many films. But then again, this is being directed by the guy who's James Bond films had a lot of baddies in each film.

Sinestro won't be a bad guy in this film. That's been confirmed many times.

Sinestro was always a bad guy, even when he was a GL.

The only thing is, no one knew.
