Over the past few days, my grandmother has been a little off. She's been mainly laying down, and her voice is a little down. I thought it was just a small cold or something, but I was wrong.
My sister a couple of days ago spent the night over my grandparents house, and she said she almost fell. Which makes me a little worried about her wellbeing.
My grandmother's sister offered to stay with her, to keep an eye on her. Today, she collapsed, which my dad had to be called (luckily he took the day off.) My grandfather and my grandmother's sister was able to get her up, my grandfather told my dad to go back home, as he saw the look in his eyes.
Today I was planning on picking up a late birthday present, but now I need to prioritize her safety, and I want to stay over their house next weekend.
My grandmother may annoy me, but even people who get on your nerves can be your closet allies. She makes time for me and my siblings.
Besides my dog, I've never lost anyone before, and I am not prepared too.

Just came to my attention, as my dad was talking on the phone, my grandmother had a brain tumor.
I've never seen my dad cry before

I don't think anyone else really is, even when it does happen. But one must make peace with the fact personal loss will eventually happen. It doesn't make that feeling hurt any less, but IMO, it makes dealing with loss better when you are grounded like this. You set your mind to understanding that you will have to be brave and you will have to face the eventual emotional storm which will hit you like a mountain of bricks. And ultimately, you set yourself on the path to get through it.

You have some time still. How long is unknown, but tell her everything she needs to hear from you as a grandson.

I'm incredibly sorry about your grandmother, it's hard to have this happen. I'm sorry she's going through this and suffering. I'll keep her, you, and yours in my prayers tonight.

As someone who lost their grandmother to blood cancer, I can only say cancer sucks. If your grandmother has a brain tumor, it is most likely cancerous. Be prepared for that possibility.

I wish you didn’t have to go through this with her, but life happens like that, and we can only adapt to the circumstances. That includes accepting news we don’t want to hear. I am sorry this is happening to you. Sending a virtual hug your way.

I'm sorry and I hope things work out for the best. Just be there for her and the rest of the family the best you can. Hang in there. And, easier said than done, but try not to get too down over things you can't control!

I'm sorry for what your going through. As someone already mentioned cancer sucks. I have two family members battling two different types.

Always hold onto the good memories of her and be there for your dad and other family members and they in turn will be there for you.

And try not to act too differently with her, if shes anything like my family members she still wants to be treated normally when spending time with her. People tend to wish to be remembered for who they are.

That's terrible. I lost my grandmother back in 1994 to cancer, and it was a hard blow. Do everything you can to spend every moment you can with her, if she can not, or does not want to be healed.

Thanks for all of the encouraging comments.

My grandmother went for surgery, and she's a little better. They did have to cut off her hair though.
She's still the same person, even if she's a little forgetful and can't talk due to her brain tumor. I dunno if I can visit her, just imagine it makes me sad.

I hope everything does go well and she pulls through, but if she doesn't, then @Wolfguard's advice is the best you can go with. Either way, good luck and God be with you.

I hope your grandmother gets better, and I am happy her condition has since improved. All of my grandparents and great grandparents passed years ago; most of them I never knew. I wish I got to spend more time with them, so I hope you and your family get to have many more memories with her.

That's awesome! Given her surgery, the fact that she's able to move around at all is a good sign.

    May she get well soon.

It took my grandfather half a year to be able to walk again, but even to this day he still needs a wheelchair every now and then. The fact your grandmother is already walking again, I hope is a sign things are getting better already.
