Amy Winehouse just won a grammy....she looked completely SHOCKED! The wife said she was stone...I don't think she was, but who knows.. The irony is, she was let out of rehab to be on a show to sing a song about rehab and shortly thereafter won an award for said song about rehab. Now she's going back to rehab... Other notable performances: * Alisha Keys is HOT! * Beyonce and Tina Turner was very cool * Herbie Hancock and Ling-Ling doing Rhapsody in blue * Kanye West's performance was phenomenal. * Carrie Underwood is HOT! And they showed that Sobe Life Water commercial with the geckos singing Thriller...I love that commercial
Amy Whinehouse was either stoned or just out of it. Maybe she's shy in front of large audiences. Great voice though... Missed Kayne Wests performance, will catch it on Youtube. Kayne told the sound guy off good too
"I don't know what this means. I don't think it means anything." Thats a quote from Eddie Vedder back in '96 when Pearl Jam won a Grammy. I just wish more people would say it!
Yeah Josh Groban's performance was the only one I liked, although, that song is better when a woman sings part of it. I wanted Paramore to win best new artist.
I DVR'd it but I ended up forwarding through most of it. I did enjoy seeing Prince since he's da MAN. The Time reunion was awesome until Rhiana started singing. Also another highlight was seeing Beyonce shaker her thang with Tina Turner. Usher's comment about kanye West at the end made me lol. Glad Herbie Hancock won album of the year and not that crackhead Amy Whinehouse.
I have to say, my favorite performance was the opening.. Alicia Keys singing a duet with Frank Sinatra was...priceless...and was amazingly smooth.
Reminds of the Simpsons episode where Homer and the B-Sharps win a Grammy and he tries to give it to the pimple faced kid and he's like, "Oh a Grammy" with disappointment.
I can't stand most of today's music. Or at least the kind that wins awards at this show. I do love the Foo and thought their performance, as always, rocked. I tuned in for that and that alone.
