my movie legends scorponok's tail literally fell apart when i picked it up today, at the time i was literally thinking,"this is one of my all time favorite movie wait, what? oh no, ..no, no no NOOOO!
Hmm, I wonder if that means in a few years Gold Bumblebee and Universe Treadbolt will be having the same problems.
Oh crap, I forgot about him having it We might get lucky, no swirling on the plastic and there are examples that haven't just disintegrated.
I thought that the problem of GPS had been fixed in later years. Guess I was wrong. Too bad about your toy, and possibly about a whole lot of our toys in the future >_>
This isn't GPS, from what i've heard (dont own the figure). This is a unique soft plastic drying out and crumbling. Gold Bumblebee isn't the right kind of plastic for this to happen with, he's safe. My first protoform starscream crumbled, my second did not. Reports of him breaking are rare, so Hasbro probably sorted out the GPS issue during his production run. Unfortunately, the trigger is existing.
SWTF Mellenium Falcon... the hinge on Han Solo's crotch shattered... I glued it back... happened again...
From what I understand, he doesn't suffer from GPS, just weak plastic that can't take the stress of play.
I have had a TM1 Megatron break at the shoulder hinge once. Figured it was freaking GPS like my G2 Slingshot. I replaced those with sealed specimens and don't even stare at the packages to long. lol
TM Megatron definitely isn't GPS. Just a bad design. For some reason the Japanese one is fine. The kings of GPS are G2 Slingshot, G2 Electro, Randy, G1 Roadblock, G1 Skyhammer (for reals), Slog, Bristleback and Black Zarak. Killbison has it too, but because he is such a brick, they are usually okay.
