Bold move, to try and adapt works that Guillermo del Toro AND James Cameron couldn’t hash out together.

    Best of luck boys.

They'll definitely subvert expectations one way or another

They are fine as long as they have material to adapt from, it was when the ran out of books and started leaving out chunks of the story before hand that got them in trouble. The first few seasons were good as they were more or less pretty close adaptations of the books to screen. If they just adapt a novel or story it might be alright, they have no idea how to write a story but for the first few seasons they were decent at adapting one.
If they just adapt a story and don't try to put their own spin on i it might be a decent watch.

But they might be at the point of no return from believing their own hype.
