Don't listen to him. Clearly what you need is a Supercard One. As it has a badass built in mp3 player and supports SDHC. There's some good hombrew it can run as well. You can some find over on dsdev.org.

Really it's worth looking into, to unlock the full power of the DS. It can be so much more than just games. Media player, an organizer, there's even a VOIP client that works with Vonage so you can use it as a cellphone.

heheh, I'll use my PSP for that, swapable storage is bliss. I'll keep my DS for games.

    And speaking of which,

I bought Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles last night (my cousin bought another copy).

Great and fun Coop-action adventure. It sux that you can't use your multi character in the story mode, but I bought it more to play Multi anyway. It's a great game, and a blast to play in a group.

Small Bump (didn't want to start a new thread)

Can anyone tell me anything about the Transformers Movie DS game?

I remember reading that it was the best of the bunch on the DS

GTA Lite. Large city to drive through, transform on the fly. Wanted levels that escalate the police force used. Random Autobots will attack and drive off. The city actually feels alive. There's RPG elements where you level up your character and attacks.

Touch Detective? Never heard of that one. Sounds like something Smasher would like. ;)

If you don't mind a giant hulking Decepticons having to run away from cops on foot with handguns....plus it crashes quite a lot. It has lots of potential that goes unfulfilled.

And the supercard does have swapable media. it uses Micro SD cards, and in fact most DS ad ons use one sort of memory card or the other. There's a great homebrew scene on the DS. It's worth checking out.

The games has never crashed on me. And what else are earth bound cops to use? I'm certainly not going to turn this isnt a Transformers game debate, but the game is quite well done; especially for a 3-D DS game.

I just wish someone would do a DS version of PS1 Metal Gear Solid.

If the whole thing fits on 2 CDs (3 if you count the special ops disc) thats 1.3/1.95G max... I'm sure they could shoehorn that onto a DS cartfridge.

But yeah, I second Clubhouse games/42 in one, once that goes in it pretty much doesn't come out.

Also, best 'realistic' racing game I've played on DS is Asphalt Urban GT2, pretty swish for a DS, but admittedly, I haven't tried any of the new EA (NFS) output or that Juiced game.

Has anyone mentioned Metroid Prime? That was pretty good as well.

Well I found the TF: Autobot game for 17 bucks used. I am really pleased with it actually. Forgiving it the weaker system shortcomings, this is definitely the best of the movie games. The framerate doesn't suck because the devs knew just how much to push out of the DS, and these guys let you do what no transformer game has ever let you do: Make your own Transformer character, level him up and pick your Alt mode.. Awesome. Add to that the fact that you interact with the movie characters, instead of being them, mix it up with the fact that the devs did some homework, by adding elements from the prequel comics into the story, and you have gold. Next movie, the devs for PS3 and 360 should talk to these guys for some tips on how to make a Transformer game fun.

if you want a game that's the epitome of an oldskewl/hardcore rpg get etrian odyssey 2. i'd recommend the first one too but you'll never find it, so you might as well just get the second one. the first one consumed a huge portion of my life last year, and i just got the second one today... it seems to be just as good with only improvements from what i can see.

    Hurray for UltraDev!

I was going to ask about this game next... Drawn to Life, and low and behold, someone brings it up. I saw that this weekend and I was like "WHAAAA?" This looks really cool, but is the execution good?
