Good luck to everybody trying to register for Comic-Con tomorrow morning @0900 PST.
So far this isn't going so well...
I thought pre-reg was horrible. LOL.
Did It sell out already? I Clicked the Link, Right when it turned time, But it says, the EPIC online waiting room has reached capacity,
does this mean I'm to late
If it didn't move you to the waiting room at 9am, you were out of luck.
damn. i wish i could go.
Darn It! Ok Thanks Maybe Next year!
Possibly, it was this bad for the last one. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I miss the days when I'd wait overnight at the con for tickets for the next year. And that only started the year before last. I really miss the days when you could just buy tickets on preview night while you were waiting for the con to start. As I said in the previous thread until they build on to the convention center it will be this bad, it fills to capacity every year now and is always sold out before it starts.
Couldn't even get into the waiting room. Looks like I am going to botcon
My browser times out once at 9:01, then I clicked again, and its been spinning with nothing happening since. Does that mean I'm in the waiting room?
never refresh, you lose your place. You may be out or moved to the back of the line.
I didn't refresh. Got the runtime error first then tried again and its been spinning without saying boo since.
you are SOL if you didnt see the screen that says you are in the waiting room DO NOT REFRESH you didnt make it in. Just like me.
Well at least I have my Quakewave waiting for me when I get home today LOL
I still think it is funny that it is the only thing of its nature that is held in a space obviously much to small for it.
Nothing else has these kinds of issues to get in to.
Just sad that if u have to travel or something your not even sure if u can get in or not.
fail oh well i tried
I'll probably still get a badge through work but I wanted to try and get one today so I could be sure, since work isn't a guarantee.
Mostly just pissed I woke up for this. I easily could have slept an extra two hours and been a much happier person today.
I also tried and failed. I am now 2 for 2.
It's only in the last 6 to 7 years that it got too big. Not long before that you could still buy at the door. It's just become a big Hollywood event now. And more and more people want to go. The only reason it's stayed is they have been there for years and based on a agreement now till 2016 to make the convention center bigger.

Yeah, SDCC has gotten way out of hand. I miss the days when you could simply walk in to ANY panel rather than having to wait overnight for a possibility of getting in...heck, Hall H was where you'd go to chill out because you could just breeze in and out anytime. I miss the days when LEGO didn't have a larger booth than Image and Ubisoft didn't have a larger booth than DC Comics...I also miss breathing room...
Sadly it's also why the Bay Area lost it's biggest convention since they offered up Wondercon to Anaheim as a consolation prize for fighting to take SDCC from San Diego and falling short...
