out of curiosity what do you mean give the story time to build up? build up?
LoP223: Looks like I will have to have words with Shockwave when he returns. Those words will be communicated through the light spectrum and sent to him from my gun.
I mean you should take time to establish the rules of this universe and introduce some of its inhabitants.
im sort of winging this, but i have ideas! dont worry you will enjoy this!
Word of advice, new comic universe. Keep the snacks away from Bulkhead!
It's best to have a clear plan. I am interested to see these ideas play out, I just want to offer helpful criticism.
I too have to agree with what DOTM Bumblebee is saying. It's generally best that you have a very clear and precise plan on where this comic is going to go instead of "winging it." Believe me, I made that mistake years ago when I started a comic here in the Funnies... it did not end well at all.
To be honest, I don't think starting this comic with a crossover is really a good idea. You should have taken the time to devote the first 2-3 updates of your comic to establish who your cast is, how things work in their universe, etc. before starting a crossover arc. Readers aren't going to know what's going on if they haven't read all of "Legends of Prime" and know how/why some of the characters from that comic ended up in your comic, which is why I think Autovolt 127 had no idea what's going on here.
I'm only just trying to give you my humble opinion and insight on how things work in the Funnies (considering that I've been active in the Funnies since 2009 and have learned quite a lot since my failed attempt at making a comic). In the end, it's all up to you whether or not you want to follow any of the advice that's been given to you.
nothing wrong with starting a comic with a crossover. I pretty much did it after a couple of updates. Also winging it can be a good thing.
thank you very much, i hope my response was not rude, i did not mean it to be and i appreciate your advice!
i understand where your coming from... i really do, but if you notice i have made many comics and with all except one of them i tried to plan it and well i failed. the only comic i ever think lasted long was my first comic and that was completely winging it. also honestly im just horrible at planning and story making with a plan, its just never ended well. that is why i wanted to start with a crossover because i wanted to use pre-existing characters, though now im not sure since i cant really figure out what to do with them... overall thank you for your advice i appreciate it!
i hope your right... cause im just feeling less and less enthused about my ability to EVER succeed in comic making...
the DC and TF adventures
here is my new comic, it features dc comics characters and transformers... i don't own many dc comic characters so they will be added over time as i buy them!
Welcome to Decepticon Country, Nightwing. Better get used to it - 'cuz for missing out giving Soundwave's interface an up-close-and-personal view of your batons, expect more 'Cons headed your way...
Soundwave seems more immature here. Does his size account for that?
that is certainly part of it!
But Nightwing's blue.
And Frenzy's red.
I like how everyone is afraid of Soundwave.
watch out for the quiet ones.
So if Soundwave isn't the overall boss, who is?
Separate names with a comma.
