... that likely will never happen.

Be it HasTak or 3P- licensed or unlicensed-
I’m pitching an idea for a line of Transformers characters.

Screen accurate, articulated, non-transforming figures in HO model Railroad scale.
HO scale seems to be the most popular of model railroad scales and seems to be an internationally recognized scale, so that figures won’t have to compete with the metric or feet / inches measurement systems. Being HO scale, diorama creation is more unified and easier to create since buildings, props, etc. are already easily available.

Being a smaller, non-tf scale the figures would be less expensive, take up less room, and more easily accommodate larger bots- combiners, base bots, city bots, etc.

So as an example: G1 Optimus, supposedly 22' tall would be a little over 3" at HO scale- that's not much smaller than current 3P legends sized Optimus figures.
Movie Optimus is supposedly 36' tall, so HO would make him almost 5". Totally do-able.

Actually, That is really a great idea. I would be totally for it. Smaller scale figures like Bumblebee, laserbeak, rumble, and Ravage would be unarticulated figures. Carbots would be the size of NewAge Bumblebee.

Haslab Unicron would almost be to scale!

That would be nice to have a set scale for dioramas. I always feel like a goober when I'm trying to find die cast cars in scale with takara's mp car bots, and I'm holding up one from home to try to match it.

Sounds like a cool idea. I bet they could make some of them transformable but at that size it might sacrifice the bot mode considerably.

I love it! The main reason I love Legends stuff so much is because of the small sizes and possibilities for integration with other toy lines. The Concept pitched here is more on the nose and I am all about it!

It would primarily be the bot modes... altho a bot mode / alt mode 2 pack might not be a bad idea.

IIRC, the reason you might be having problems is because there's no solid scale for MP carbots. I think they range between 1/30 to 1/35, depending on the car. As a result, 1/32 cars are usually the best you'll get. Jada Toys commonly makes cars in that size and you can usually find those hanging around the Hot Wheels and Matchbox at your local Wal Mart.

In which case there are more and better options than HO scale.

    Like what?
    I’m open.

My idea is about a set scale with easily obtainable pieces

    HO scale?

Lazy Eyebrow loves that stuff and talks alot about it here.
He actually has a medium sized collection of them. But sadly he is about the car modes but I still love the bot mode idea.

Well, if we're going with the tabletop miniatures idea, then there are endless sci-fi (Warhammer 40k and the like) scenery and building pieces at exaggerated 1:72 scale (or really 1:60 scale).

We talking about heroes of Cybertron sized figures or more like the new falsely named world's smallest transformers size?

I dunno. How big are those?
An HO scaled G1 Optimus would stand a little over 3”

This is a great idea. 2 figures per package: robot mode and alternate mode.
    For example,
    Seeker robot and seeker jet.

I think it's a neat idea. HO or 28mm scaled. And perhaps they can still be transformable...

Only thing is I'm into MP scale now and I'm not gonna rebuy al those bots for another scale.

To be fair, I think alot of the OG world smallest transformers (not the new ones) do work in this scale.

Depending on a person’s flexibility, New Age legends sized figures could probably work too.

I just know that there are people out there who are real sticklers about scale and what I’m pitching is adherence to a set scale so that the appropriate sized buildings, props, ets. can be readily available to enhance that scale.
