recently I've been thinking of making a goldymarg (gaogaigar series) and was wondering what i could make it out of, anyone have some suggestions?

I think that Animated Ultra Magnus would be your best bet. Especially with the hammer included.

 

I almost get a Cybertron Ransack vibe from him. Especially the legs.

IMO the decepticon combiner limb from energon (Sledge I think he name is) would be be cool. Just take off the front and mould in a tank cannon/hammer

 

does anyone think that maybe unicrons forearm with movie landmines legs would work?

 

I think you should go with armada prime and somehow make him combine with cybetron prime repainted as ggg. that would be pretty sweet.

 

If you're willing to put some time and effort into it, I say find a junker (but decent-ish) Unicron.

The transformation is pretty much there already, flip legs onto back, etc, and I'm sure you can find some cheap car or truck to get wheel off of to put on his arms and legs.

As for the hammer, you might need to make one, but I'm sure you could find a bunch of cool parts to make it out of.

I'll third... no FOURTH that. There's a lot of Armada Prime in this design... though there would still be lots of modding to get the vehicle mode looking right. Then you could give him TFA Magnus' hammer (modified).

On the plus side, with Armada Deluxe Prime, you'll end up with a Goldymarg roughly the right size to go with Brave Gohkin GaoGaiGar!

When I saw the thumbnails, I thought you had already repainted an Armada Op, and I was all "that is awsum! I want wun!"  

 

It looks okay in the hands of my Brave Gokin GGG... maybe not as INSANELY OVERSIZED as it is in the anime, but close enough.  

I think it would be just about perfect scaled with Armada Dlx Prime.
