The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world Action Toys still exists.
Tough Trailer never got a Gobots release.
In case anyone wants it/missed it, BBTS has the DX Bike Robo with the bonus face in stock for $90.00 (and a mini figure... does anyone know what that is?).
it's like a small thing with no articulation that you can plug a face onto
Thanks for the heads up. Hadn’t picked up that Bike Robo yet. Glad I’ll be able to get him with the bonus faces now.
No Turbo no buy.
Box Contents says "2 Faceplates (bonus)", so it seems they cut one...
Luckily, he's sporting that beautiful shit-eating grin in one of the product shots.
Is Bandai still making their own new ones or what?
I hope so but it seems unlikely. We were supposed to hear more news on them earlier this year. They’ve been silent about it as far as I’ve seen.
If I remember correctly, the prototypes they showed off back in 2018 were just to gage interest in the possible new line. I don’t know how well they were received by other fan communities, but if they were anything like some of the reactions here Bandai may have decided to reconsider those designs if not just scrap the project altogether.
REALLY was gonna give 'em a chance tbh.
Then again, its not coming in anytime now. :/ Cy-kill looks like Priss' Motoslave from Bubblegum Crisis tbh.
No idea what they were going for with this
Reboot idea or maybe an upgrade after the last series since we stopped at Battlehackers. Battlehackers was the last time the classic Machine Robo were seen.
Rescue was another thing though that started the Mugenbine craze.
Outside of Baikanfu they always ignore the classic Machine Robo series, I wish they'd reboot it properly.
At least we have Minipla and Pose Metal Baikanfu to look forward to, they're looking to be his best toys yet. Minipla is a nice small one to mess around with, and Pose Metal is more accurate than both the Chogokin and the Sentinel Baikanfus, probably more poseable too
True. I'd like to see them Tamashii Nations make that new Machine Robo a reality tho.
Bro Im just surprised Action Toys hasnt made Blue Jet yet, literally one of the main characters who's toy they've teased since the beginning lol.
no kidding...blue jet is probably the most necessary of what their line was about yet still nothing
what else does action toys even make? why is this taking forever? i just want this figure to come out so i can officially stop caring about this line. the eternity between releases just has just taken away all the fucks i can give about these things.
Loco did seem to drop with almost no warning out of nowhere, I'm hoping something similar will happen with Fitor, Turbo, Res-Q, and Tough Trailer.
I'm just surprised they NEVER released that one Blue Jet or the Tough Trailer that they gave a review copy to Adam Thews.
Yes! Haven't Blue Jet, Tough Trailer and Turbo been seen at previous conventions in - essentially - colored and ready to go form?
Edit - though now that I think about it, a poster (many pages back) mentioned that Action Toys has a tendency to work on several things at once, and therefore jump around on projects.
Great..so they're like me when trying to make art projects. That's a good sign right there. -_-
