Every time I see an update to this thread, I get excited. Love the Viper head for Coptur. Fitor looks great. He was my first Gobot, so you get nostalgia points
These are truly amazing. I would bu the ship out of Go-bot deco'd Transformers. Well done, sir. Bravo!
Crasher was my first inspiration from Hasbro! She's the official repaint of Classic Mirage in that big-five photo, at the back. Turbo... I thinking a Titans Return Chromdome/Getaway body with Kup's head... Heck, Brawn's head should work a lot better, but I don't want another Cy-kill lookalike in the mix.
Understandable. I've actually been thinking about which figures could be retooled into other figures myself. Coneheads from Aerialbots, CW Optimus into Thunder Clash, TR Megatron into Tarn, TR Hotrod into Thunderhawk. My list also includes TR Hotrod into Crusher and CW Ironhide to Smallfoot. I've found heads for them on Shapeways. But not ordered the parts as I have those other projects to finish first. Hmmmm, maybe I can cut off the arm exhaust rods, to make him less Hotrod-ish. But still, there's no green windshield on his chest.
So, there are a few under progress simultaneously, and Hans-Cuff comes out first. He's such an easy pick. Timelines chose this body for good reasons. Even Streetwise' face looks exactly like Hans-Cuff's.
Hans-Cuff was a favorite of mine as a kid, mostly because I loved cop shows. You're right about that mold suiting him. I actually have a 1/32 scale malibu that I intend to make into him some day, if I get brave enough. Looking forward to the other works in progress.
Always wanted a Bugbite in the rank, since he's kinda the star in this Gobots-disguise-as-TFs thing. And that Studio Series BBB toy just looks too angry to be the one we saw in the movie, but has a perfect VW Beetle mode. So I combined the Classic-verse white and Bugbite's original appreance on this custom.... as the excuse of skipping the trouble of painting any toy all white with fancy tatoos. Studio Series Deluxes are smaller than regular deluxes, so I imagine him be the leader of a branch of Scout class Renegades: Badboy, Buggyman, Spoons, Dart Badboy infiltrated the Classic-verse with Bugbite, still keeping his white/grey deco, while the others are agents in the Live Action Movie universe (Since they are official homages to the Gobots, I didn't do any extra paint on them).
Now that’s an interesting redesign. Good use of all the hidden parts to be white with the others as yellow. Homages both designs. And he is very angry with that mask.
I've got nothing but praise for your work here! These are some fine looking customs, all sharply detailed and unmistakably iconic. Well done all around!
