With all the negativity and terrible events lately, I thought we might need something like this. So TFW, what are the goals that you have set yourself, long-term, short-term, anything? Personally, I've always strived to get an A grade in sport. But every year, I have got a B or C. So this year, I told myself that I would not stop trying until I got one. I got an A for Effort and Achievement in both semesters this year, an award for Excellence in Sport, and I represented my area in the state cross country. How about you all?
I was thinking about making a thread like this. Anyway, look down at my sig. Three years of hard work right there. Also, future goals and current as seen on my iPhone's reminders app: Yes. I cockblocked my brother. #YOLO

Long-term goal - Get US citizenship. - Progress - Just received notice last week that my Green Card application was approved. Long-term goal - Lose weight, get in shape and stay in shape. - Progress - Been doing P90x for the past year, lost 45 - 50 lbs (now slightly below my expected goal weight), dropped two pant sizes and 1 shirt size, improved my strength and endurance significantly. Have been tweaking the program a little to keep things interesting and plan to continue with it. Long-term goal - Write series (trilogy?) of sci-fi/fantasy novels. - Progress - Not good. Have most of the characters down but, as the characters have evolved, my original idea for the plot is now unworkable. Like my characters, need to give them something to do, basically. Haven't written much of anything yet and I get discouraged sometimes. Then, I remember that some re-worked Twilight fan-fiction became a number-one bestseller, realize I could probably pull a better book out of my ass, and it motivates me not to give up.
I've been called 'cute' several times by this gal I've been chatting with online. Never in my life have I been referred to as such but then again, I'm pretty anti-social.
Short-term - survive my kids going interstate with my ex. *survive in general having Christmas with my family. * finish decluttering my house to a standard I am happy with. * finish reading The Hunger Games books *not kill my asshole brother *keep my plants alive long term: Figure out where Fatal T and I are going to live. This is a huge one for us because it's a difficult question to answer. I want to stay in Australia, but it could be easier immigration wise for me to move to the US being that I have the better transferable qualifications and more international employability plus no medical issues to hinder immigration. I don't want to leave my home and I love raising my kids here and I am just scared of being in a new country. Call the waaaahmbulance or Huffer so he can build me a bridge. ... And, I'm going to sound naive here....but, what is 'cockblocking' is it as unpleasant as it sounds?
Pass the 11th Grade Get the final Maximum Ride book read and put into my library. Receive my first kiss (which really isn't importaint) Get a half decent computer to replace my piece of shit ive been using for eons. More later...
-Start in Kickboxing/Muay Thai? Do that tomorrow, or even tonight, why is that even in a list? Walk in there swinging your dick around like you're Bruce Lee, get the crap kicked out of you then go back for more. Easy. (*Disclaimer* Don't go in there swinging your dick around like Bruce Lee unless you actually are like Bruce Lee. Muay Thai hurts.) On topic. Survive Life. I have so much shit going on its not funny. If I survive it I can survive anything. But thats exactly what I thought last year, and the year before that. If you can cope with all life throws at you as you grow older then you have succeeded. I'm not even joking or being an ass about this, getting through life IS AN ACHIEVEMENT. The alternative is going nuts and killing a load of people for your own failings.

I used to be a long distance swimmer but my collage does not have a swim team nor would I have time for it with my degree. I want to get back in shape after I have my senior thesis show since I have been so busy lately. I plan on training to be a road cyclist and start competing since I miss that aspect of my life

About 2 years ago I was at the worst health of my life. I was overweight and living an unhealthy eating lifestyle. My wife and I made the decision to not only lose weight, but start eating much healthier. I am proud to say that we both lost significant weight. I went from ,at my worst, 265 LBS and am down to 178 LBS right now and have maintained that weight for well over a year now. We eat much healthier and exercise on a regular basis now.
^^ Congrats on loosing and maintaining the weight loss. ^^ I'm going through a change of eating habits with my mom, she had to change her diet because of her stroke. Changing eating habits is rough and hard to due.
