I have started to collect Glyos toys in the last year and noticed there are several Transformers homages in this independent toy line.

For those not aware Glyos toys are a set of toys made with a common peg and hole system that makes the parts interchangeable. There are several molds made by different guys, and they tend to have LOTS of recolors. Repainting their figures as nods to Star Wars, Masters of the Universe, Micronauts, Transformers other famous characters is very common. Figures are usually released in limited time drops, that can sell out. If you miss them then good luck on the aftermarket.

    So what exists?

I voted not interested, but I had to change my vote when I saw that Chop Shop.

God Beast does a massive number of repaints to different characters with that Mushi mold. I have the ones painted like the Guyver, Chop Shop and Bombshell. I want a few more, like Ultraman and various Shogun Warriors.

The "Devastation Bio-Mass Monster" is made by combining several sets from different designers into one giant monster. Between his name and colors, he seems to pretty obviously be a nod to G1 Devastator.

Does the Callgrim Grimpool figure count as a homage to Shattered Glass Drift in a roundabout way?

The ZULLEN DEVASTATION TROOPER is also a nod to the Constructicon color scheme. With four different heads, I guess you can make four Constructicons from him.

They are always being mentioned on the WTF podcast but I never really knew what they were until now.
