I'm only posting because I had a GF who "convinced" me to sell off some of my stuff years ago. Worst mistake I've ever made. Pack them away, confine it to one room, but selling it off when you don't seem to want to is potentially a bad mistake. From personal experience, women > toys. Bossy women who "convince" you to do things you don't want to to < Single. My collecting makes my wife happy since it makes me happy, and I give her lots of attention because that makes both of us happy. Good luck with the GF and the sale!
You're only getting rid of those right NOW. You're also pretty much demonstrating that you'll get rid of other stuff if she complains about it. I'm sorry, dude, and it's really none of my business, but a girl who resents what you enjoy is a girl who wants you to be someone else. I met my girlfriend at a convention, so I was lucky. She's an avid gamer, collector (she's worse than me), and martial artist. She's the first girlfriend who didn't "tolerate" my transformers habit, she loved seeing me happy, and she kind of digs them, too. Not everyone is so lucky, and I believe that those on here who say "my girlfriend doesn't 'get it,' but she sees that I do and that's good enough for her" are in pretty good shape. They connect over other things, and that's fine. Telling a guy the collection he loves is "too much junk," is tantamount to telling a woman she "really ought to frop a few pounds." Just saying, today it's your duplicates, but tomorrow... well, you know. I'll butt out, now. I'm sure she's a nice girl. Dr. Phil, over and out.
I'm making it so they don't take up more then one room. Items that have been sitting in a box forever and i don't display. She not against collecting...just having them everywhere in the house. I had a room full, some in the living room, some in the bedroom. Most of the stuff i'm selling (cybertron) i've had in a sales thread months ago that didn't sell and the others i've been debating anyways.
why not wait until WIFE in, collection out........ girlfriends are cool an all but come on man! those are nice pieces...... good luck selling them and i hope you dont regret it
i also have to agree with whats been said...my wife has grown to enjoy my collection and we even have a 2 bedroom apartment with one bedroom totally focused on toys now...she collects stuff, but not as much as me...she has never told me to sell stuff off...every now and again she may ask if i need duplicates, and i now only collect one of each mold, with few exceptions. she understands this, and it works. i am in the process of selling a bunch of stuff, but thats because i need to get myself out of debt...if your girl doesnt understand your collecting, that can be bad...its kinda like if you told her to not buy so many shoes.... edit: okay, if it is a space issue, that makes sense as well. i think your title jsut threw people off....most of what im selling hasnt been displayed, or even touched in the 4 years since i met my wife. and most are molds that are not as good comparatively to what is out now....best of luck with the selling...
TRU prime...i have an original G1, and the bookstyle reissue MISB so i don't need the TRU. Justtoys trailer : i have MP-04 so i don't need the justtoys. Ironhide and ratchet:...not on display because i have the encores and i like unapplied stickers and minty items. cybertron...was selling before she was moving in. She was actually surprised to see me listing items.

I am with the others who say the Transformers are > the girlfriend It does not seem like much to pack away somewhere. You will be able to find a girl who atleast "puts up with" the collecting. Luckily my wife lets me do it, although there are plenty of arguments I will PM you about the stuff you have for sale.
if a woman ever told me to get rid of my Transformers, i'd be like, HEY, you get in the kitchen and make me some pie!!!
