ugh, just reusing the lame evergreen designs? boo. The doubled up characters looks really janky. Should have commissioned unique art to fit the space better from Guido, Milne, Matare or the like. The designs aren't super exciting either: I like the Gilson logo in the TF font but it's way too much with all the chrome. Soundwave version is probably the best looking. (big time snowboarder here)
They look pretty cool but the company should have commissioned designs rather than use some of the crappiest designs available. At that pricepoint of a single set of skiis would have covered commission costs for plenty of artists on somewhere like DeviantArt to draw some incredible stuff.
Agreed. And if the just had to work with stock art, could they have just used a collage of pages from the Marvel Comics? Or even IDW? Anything but this silly art. No adult that isn’t a deep-level fan of transformers is gonna ski or snowboard with one of these.

I bought a couple of the Ride Snowboards back in the day around 2006. They were cool. I wish Gibson had better designs, like more G1 then I'd be interested. My gear is pretty old, like 7 yrs and looking to upgrade. Even for novelty.
I like try snowboard I don’t own one unless you live in transformer country I don’t see average snowboarder and skier buying these unless there transformer fan
i really AM that and i wouldn't get one of these. Like @Predakwon said, the Ride Havoc boards from the mid '00s were a lot cooler looking (and featured sweet, sweet Don Figuaro art) Wish i'd grabbed the War Within Prime one.
I have no idea what a "sterotypical" Transformers fan is but skiing/snowboarding isn't a cheap hobby and you'd be surprised what novelty skis/decks are sold. It's also not for the normal fan. It's says right there, it's limited. I can guarantee there will be people across the world buying these. Especially China where skiing/snowboarding is booming. I've seen people buy and use the Ride Snowboards they had before. Hell, one guy in my chair lift had one when I was in Whistler. And Transformers have become a much bigger pop culture icon since 2006. People will buy these for the sake of it.
I might catch some heat for this one...but f**k it, I been to 4 Botcons so I feel I can be honest here about what I saw. The "stereotypical Transformers fan" is overweight, out of shape, usually very tech oriented, and often single. I am by no means saying this description describes every Transformers fan out there. But my eyes dont lie. I saw a lot of people that didnt look like they would be able to ride a snowboard. Straight up. That doesnt mean those people werent cool to talk to about Transformers. I had an awesome time at those conventions.
