    Hello,

I want to but the G1 Tripricon re-colored in the Japanese ver of the beast wars line name Gigastorm.

Now, I see that there are 2 versions of it,

    One is the Takara (Japan):

One is the Sono King ? (Korean):

I'm sure that some of you have one of this versions, please assist me...are this the same (o.k. the box is different) or the quality is the Korean ver is not as good as the Japanese ver?

    Tanks,
    Newgen1.

The Korean version is licensed by Takara. From what I have heard about others, they are the same as the Takara ones (The Korean Brave Max has a sticker upside down on it). The only real difference is the box, and the Korean ones are cheaper.

The official Korean version is exactly the same.

Correct. And you maybe get a different (random-packed) Tech Spec trading card with the Sonokong version than the correct character card included with Takara Gigastorm.

No difference between the two of them. I think the box quality / way the toy is packed on the Korean one is not as good as his Japanese counterpart, though. I've never heard of any box-induced issues from the way he is packed, unlike some Sonokong releases, but I believe his horn has a tendency to puncture the box.

I didn't realize that there were two versions of Gigastorm, hmm. Aperantly I have the Korean version and it's on par with my G1 Trypticon as far as quality.

How much does one of these usually sell for on e-Bay and the like?
One day, after I've managed to repair my Trypticon, I'll have to get this guy.
