Just think it's a fucking shame they didn't bring their a game for this figure. The company imo has not moved forward. Not saying ft is better, cause looking at silverbolt they've also gone backwards when before they were actually improving.

Where did you buy it from?

Imagine if GP gave the Dinobots the same treatment!

Cool, ToyDojo got their stock in last night. Interesting, they must've gotten it right before they closed for the day. Yet my order was still processed that night! I mean, it was prolly too late to actually ship at that point, but I really appreciate the effort, other places would've waited til the next day.

I'm all out of funds due to the mass of MP's coming out in the next couple of months so Grimlock is going to have to wait Christmas to join my collection. I'll probably need to get the Metallic first if I'm waiting that long.

Not at all. He's very high quality, uncomplicated transformation, looks amazing and premium in both modes and SOLID AF. You can shake him in the air and his legs and arms won't move.

I can understand why people might have wanted more ankle tilt if they do a lot of super dynamic posing, but not that it would be a deal breaker. My only issue on technical level is probably the joints for his dino-hands. That seems a lazy way to have done it, but at the same time I"m not sure if there was a technical reason they chose to do it that way because of all the chrome.

Outside of that my only issue is from an aesthetic preference. They nailed the cartoon-dino look perfectly, but I would have liked to have seen more of the G1 dinosaur toy in his look, but that's my preference. (I actually kinda like the Bulky dino look of fanstoys too).

Quality wise he's definitely the sturdiest gigapower has put out and imo he's EASILY the best Grimlock put out by anybody to date. He's a beast. His robot mode especially just awesome.

In all honesty I'd be replacing my Grinder with Superator if he was the same size as Grinder and similar colors. He'd just stand out too much in the FT group and I don't prefer any of the other GigaPower offerings over the FT ones. :(

Sad and funny that the FT trolls have to drop by and let us know they are still around.

exactly, there is enough room in this hobby for people to have differing opinions and still not have to shit on each other in an attempt to feel superior.

I like the fact that we have variety especially in the mp and 3rd party realm. I mean who thought we would ever have things like this to choose from.

@xavierleo what size/type of faction symbol did you use as it looks like it is sitting on top of the well?

    Mine arrived yesterday.

A little underwhelming in person. The bicep swivel is too tight for the shoulder to support the pivot. I have to hold the figure at the shoulder and the elbow to avoid stressing things.

The shoulder design is a big ugly and hindered by the mass of the torso and the shoulder. The chin hits the neck guard at any angle off of straight forward so the head winds up cocked back like he's looking down his nose at you.

As for the ankles, they don't bother me so much as the little tabs the protrude from the bottom of the foot. On my copy, they don't recede enough to avoid making contact with the ground so, essentially, the weight of the figure rests on the front edge of the toes and that little tab on each foot.

Also a little bummed that his fingers don't have three knuckles each.

It looks better than it poses, that's for certain.
