I have two I was using for Unicron and Primus for awhile. Glad to see they can fit in there because I forgot about them after putting them in storage 4+ years ago.

The sucky part is they are a bit expensive but I made the commitment to buy them long ago so at least I'm past that hump.

In case anyone is wondering, the Container Store when I last went there showed those off for sports memorabilia so they had footballs and maybe even basketballs inside them.

 

The football ones housed my fanstoys dinobots (barely) but they don’t fit the gigapower ones

The ones that fit the gigapower ones are 39.99. The football ones vary a bit depending on the thickness of the acrylic.

I really wish I was able to own both FT and GP Dino's. It's just too hard to decide if I wanna leave them in Dino or Bot mode so 1 from each offering would be great for me lol.

 

I'm getting the impression that with GP dinos, the metallic option, and not the chrome option, is the way to go if you want all the goodies like flame breath/sword/ground effect accessories and so forth.
I checked a Taobao listing and the seller is even throwing in the throne accessory for GP Superator metallic.

 

You're right. The metallics guarantee the effect pieces while the chrome will get them sometimes.

 

Hey guys,who here has PO'd the Giga Grimlock Metallic,and those who have the others which is better looking the metallic or chrome version.I am torn because I have their version of Swoop Blue Chest in chrome,and don't know if I should hold out for chrome Grimlock or go ahead and get metallic instead.Thanks guys.

 

I have Metallic Grimmy on PO as the rest of my Dino's are Metallic. It's your collection and if you want to mix/match the Chrome/Metallic all power to you. For me personally maybe it's bc I'm OCD'ish and would bug me the shit outta me that they all don't match. Also there's not much of a wait time from chrome release to Metallic/Vice Versa.

 

The Chrome version has historically been released first. So it depends on how long you're willing to wait and whether you care for the flame effects. Check out the YouTube reviews of the chrome and metallic releases to see which you prefer.

 

If I were you, it would kill me knowing that one of my dinobots didn't match the others. I love how my metallic bots look. The red chrome chests were too much bling for me.

I have both sets. On their own they both look great. But if you put the chrome beside the metallic version, I'll say the chrome version crushes the metallic version in terms of look. The chrome looks more like a premium collectibles and made the metallic version looks dull.

 

I am happy with Metallic because I prefer a more toon look than toy. I also like all the extras you get with the metallic ones. The flame effects etc.

 

Is it just for metallic or for chrome also? Would you mind sharing the link please?

 

for me, metallic is the way to go..mainly because FT dinos are already chrome..so being metallic, the GP dinos differentiates it from them..i'm more of a display and aesthetic guy, and don't like FT dinos (just a preference), that's why i chose GP metallic dinos..
