    Aww really? Another MP Slag?
They missed a trick here, do Sludge next, they'd get more buyers, as FT's is far away.

I overall like the design of these guys, but I don't love the alt legs on the outside of the robot legs. I know it's G1, but it doesn't look as clean. The engineering on Scoria is very cool and gives options. If GigaPower did this, I don't think I'd have anything else of concern.

Seeing a lot of people say that the head is smaller in the new proto. Pretty sure it's not, the pics are just taken from different angles/distances.

    New proto looks fantastic btw!

Hopefully we get both the big and the small head. They did say he'll come with a lot of accessories.

I just hope it's decently priced and the qc is good, getting tired of the overpriced crap some of these 3rd parties throw out.

oh wow what an improvement !!! might wait on reviews before i purchase into gigapowers dino's BUT the comment about the pre orders not going up until its in production because they want to ensure the quality of their product sounds promising

was there any clarification on if we'll be able to fold the "wings" up and down?

They look like they're pointing really high, but on G1 they were more horizontal.

I really don't get why everybody is so excited about Giga's Snarl,to me that thing looks about as complex to transform as those AOE One Step figures or atleast his G1 self.To me Giga just up-scaled that figure, clearly this thing would never as a Masterpiece cause how strange would it look to have Giga MP Not-Snarl standing next to MP Grimlock and he be 2"-3" taller than the Leader.

And yeah I know scale ain't important but jeez surely people care a little about his size.So I just say to those that do buy this you will be mighty disappointed when you stand him next to Grimlock and he makes Grimmy seem like a dwarf (oh and no offense intended to little people.) Oh and I also have a feeling Giga's price may be even higher than FT's Dinobots at maybe $250.Later all.

Rampant speculation with no facts, stay classy! How people like something other than FTs dinobots.

It's a good job they're doing their own Grimlock then.

I like the design but I have FT's Scoria already..
So I'm sticking with them for the Dino's.

But if FT makes their Sludge the same size as
The other Dino in their line the I'll get me a Giga Sludge.
Just because he should be bigger then the others IMHO

Both FT and Giga are making a properly scaled grimlock for one.

Second, if Giga's snarl looks like an upscaled G1 version what does FT's scoria look like?

Lastly Giga themselves have said it will be priced under $200.

So I really don't understand what you're going on about.

    NO!!!

    Ok, yes.

The image is a bit small so a lot of detail is missing. The colors try to match the bright light condition of Prime and Scoria's colors.

To give you an idea these are my digibashes for the modified proto:

Another thing, the production sample has changed a lot for the better by changing little things. Besides the bigger toes that now hide in dino mode, the dino head does not poke behind the robo leg. And those Stegosaurus plates swivel!!

I was gonna say this haha. Kinda makes Rod's post entirely pointless.

While FT took the lazy route and just made some shoes for grim Giga are actually going to do their own, which is far more preferable since that mp grim was always too small, hence why its been ko'd and upscaled recently too.

I'm not arguing that you don't have the right to pick up the toys you want, but I've seen a lot of "Sludge should be bigger" arguments over the months and they seem to be based on some altered memory that the mythical brontosaur was bigger than other dinosaurs. His toy/toon alt mode was more or less the same size (and not realistically scaled) as the other dinobots and his bot mode was more or less the same size too. If either FT or GP makes a Sludge that's significantly taller than Slag/Snarl I'll consider that a bit of a disaster. I don't expect the 3P toys to scale perfectly with the official TT MP's, but I do expect them to scale perfectly with each other. But if you love bigger Sludge, then I hope you find a way to get him.

I really think the people who gripe about "scale so wrong, so much bigger than MP-8" just can't be helped. We're 9 months out since FT first announced Scoria and with 2 companies working on MP-sized dinobot interpretations, and both companies have stated that a re-envisioned Grimlock is planned... yet the complaints are still coming up.
