After seeing Star Trek at a theater down the street from the Luxor i drove by and the poster is now complete, It's dark so I didn't take any photos. Soon enough though I will have those in, in other news the Luxor casino has an Imax theater inside it which leads me to believe that The Luxor will be showing the film in Imax. Not positive by I can't imagine for whatever reason They'd put it up there if they weren't going to show it. More Details later, also on UniverseTF- Your Source For Transformers News and Reviews
Can't say exactly when, maybe later today (friday) if not this weekend. It's REALLY huge let me tell you.
When did it finish? I'm also in Vegas and had no idea. Great, I'm working tomorrow, but now I need to make time and go get a camera-phone pic of it. - Coeloptera
ummm, not sure when exactly but it must not have been to long before the last pictures we saw. Go check it out, it's awesome!
Hey all, last Thursday 14 May 09, I was on my way home and saw this image immediately on the Luxor. Didn't know anything about it at all until that day! Wanted to get more shots later on since, yeah, it was around 4:30pm and the bright contrast of the sun was not the best time of day to take for my lowly digi-cam. Parked next to the Catholic church there since thier parking lot was closed off for the day. Never got around to getting more shots since i was in a hurry to get home but I'll get more on my day off Wednesday...will try to get decent pics before the sun is at full strength, heh. Didn't notice anything new on the sides of the Luxor other than what we already saw before. This was the only "decent one" I had.
I just got some better ones. These are decent, but the original files I have are HUGE, too big for Photobucket, in fact. Over 2 megs each. Anyone who wants a copy can get them emailed. The detail on Prime is excellent on those. We have any of these in the gallery? How do I submit them if not? The link for contact on the page is apparently not working. - Coeloptera
I live about 11.3 miles from it and can see it very clearly, even during the day. Mind you, I live at a slightly higher elevation than it sits at. The pyramid is 350 feet high, about 550 square feet, and the light at the top shines literally several miles straight into the sky at night. It's the biggest spotlight beam on the planet. Again, the +2meg pics give a better idea of the size. So, how do I submit them? - Coeloptera
Took these a couple days ago. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v399/Collarnorcrown/Vegas09156.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v399/Collarnorcrown/Vegas09087.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v399/Collarnorcrown/Vegas09086.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v399/Collarnorcrown/Vegas09088.jpg
I guess I should shrink mine to 2 megs even. Pity, I'll lose a smidgy bit of detail. I'll post 2 meg versions much later tonight. - Coeloptera
Here we go. Keep in mind the originals are still bigger and at a somewhat higher fidelity. Make sure you open these into another window. Any word on the gallery yet? I think between mine and Stormcrow's that's all we'd need. - Coeloptera
