if you could only have one, if you HAD to choose JUST one of them, which would you choose? Hercules or Giant assuming they were both complete and ready to go in front of you...

i've left off the choice for the d!cky response of "neither" and also left off "both" since i want to see which would be the prefered if we were hypothetically forced to choose...

 

Giant. There are too many nitpicks with the TFC version that I don't like, such as size and combined mode proportions.

 

I think that Hercules has it beat in size but i think Giant looks awesome and is more reasonably priced and i am honestly probably going to get the giftset that they are gonna put out of Giant. Yes my opinion is primarily price related. I do want a classicy Devy even if its technically a Not-Devy.

Edit: Also after reviewing the images of both combined prototypes i like Giant more.

 

Tentatively Hercules. I just prefer the proportions of the combined mode. Vehicle modes get an honorable mention, are the robot modes are the least appealing to me.

 

Well personally, I'd go with whichever one you still care about after the sexy time is over. That's usually worked pretty well in the past.


... seriously though, I'm still at a loss as to why people even ask for outside opinions on something that's purely going to end up being a personal choice, especially in a time when all of the information needed to come to the said choice is out there. Not trying to be a dick or anything, but when it comes down to it, this'll be your decision (or whoever's facing the decision), so whether or not others agree really shouldn't matter.

For example, people can hate on stuff like Bombshock all they want, but I still love the guy so I still picked him up. Likewise, somebody telling me how awesome the voyager Lugnut is won't change my opinion because again, the choice will ultimately be mine, and I don't feel like buying it. They're also different in pretty much every way other than being a Devi homage, so it's not even a case of comparing Skullgrin to Darkmount (or whatever the blue guy's name is).


However to answer your question, Hercules is the only answer, especially with Xena at his side.

Although for the price, neither of them really appeal to me. Like, I get that they're both examples of great custom work, but for that kind of money, I'd honestly rather just buy a bunch of shit & make something myself. It likely wouldn't end up being anywhere near as good as either, but at least I might come outa the dust with a Mixmaster that's completely my own, and maybe even that's not a partsformer.

 

honestly, I will refrain from voting, but I have never thought about this question before, I guess. It almost seems like I am going to display Hercules as Devy, and Giant's components as the constructicons. It will solve the "mass shift" situation, as Giant's components *should* be near scout sized.

I don't have to choose, but if I must,

Hercules based on

1. Its green on first release
2. its bigger, even if its by a little.
3. I like the idea of voyager sized bot combining.

 

Hercules first and foremost then if i can giant too (in green tho)

 

Giant. He is close in size to Bruticus, and I feel that most combiners should be roughly the same size (save Predaking).

I'll wait for the green release, though.

 

Hercules. It's an absolute beast. IMO it looks a bit better than Giant. But I do wanna grab both. Giant scales with the Energon gestalts... here's hoping there's some details about the giftset Giant soon... preferrably if it's the G1 color scheme.

 

Wouldn't make sense for them to immdiately do a boxset after individual release if it wasn't a diff color. Unless they don't want to capitalize on what they made, they should release in green. My bet is giftset will be green.

 

I'm voting Giant. If Bruticus can't throw a straight punch at him then he can't be Devastator.

i've prefered him since Exgraver was revealed and we saw how the treads became the forearms...thats just genious!...i've said it before and i'll say it again, i LOVE how the whole vehicle of Exgraver and Neck Breaker become the entire limb (like Structor and Mad Blender) and arent just tacked onto the shoulder like on Giant and the original Devy

 

Giant to me hes just more G1 accurate well all but the yellow colour he'll be  

 

Where is the both option? I want Hercules for combined mode and Giant for vehicle mode, because I love the size of Hercules but the vehicles look much better on Giant.

 

I wanted to get Giant because of the price and I don't have alot of display space. But then we started hearing it was going to be yellow  . So im going with Hercules.
