O dang good point never thought of it that way mind blown moment just now lol
Yep if all of the crossovers are set in the canon ghostbusters idw verse then tmnt and transformers coexist
This is a franchise that featured Spider-Man in the third issue of their very first comic series, and most recently had an adventure with Star Trek, how does a crossover with the Ghostbusters now cross some line as "jumping the shark"?
Considering he’s gonna be fighting ghost starscream I’d say it’s a fitting crossover and meant purely for fun.
This is some fandom; I mean honestly how many more times do we need armchair quarterback fans sucking every ounce of fun out of the franchise?
Oh gawd its gonna get a stupid comic storyline ? I was under the assumption it was going to be just a homage for the sake of doing a homage. So if they do the Mystery Mobile down the line, the Autobots are going to team up with Scooby Doo ? Lame. I would love a transforming Scarface caddy but that doesnt mean I want Transformers shoehorned into the storyline to justify the figures existance.
This sounds like pure fun.
Not gonna lie, I would love to see that. Though now that you said it, would the mystery machine's robot mode look like Fred or would it just turn into an Autobot version of Scooby?
come on dude there are some things that work and there are some things that just don't. I didn't say a word with the transformers/ Star Trek crossover- that was a little bit more plausible. But this and I would even critique the six million Dollar Man GI Joe crossover as the same unnecessary crossover that we don't need.
I'm sorry that your feelings are hurt.
Again Star Trek and even Spider-Man were at least slightly more plausible. This is just dumb.
Well, it's by Erik Burnham and Dan Schoening, the guys who have been doing the books for the last 8 years and are beloved by both fandom and critics. I'm excited!
Also it pisses off BB Shockwave, so it muct be good
The TMNT are from a different universe than the Ghostbusters. They warped in due to the fugitoid's machine. So they coexist as much as anything does in a multiverse
Actually just pre-orderd my copy today....cant wait to get it
So ghost busters don’t work coexisting with a franchise that canonically has had robot ghosts since 1986? Much of fiction is unnecessary, why matters is if it’s well done and fun
Gotcha, I honesty haven’t read much of idw outside of transformers so I wasn’t sure
I'm sorry- no it doesn't work for me.
And you can't get upset at me for being vocal about a franchise that I followed since 1984; being handed out just to maintain some level of relevancy- and or to prop up other franchises
You have no sense of fun, like what you want but with such a rigid outlook there’s gonna be a lot for you to get upset with
I'm all about this kind of thing...anyone who's ever seen a car and instantly imagined what kind of robot it would become if it could transform (as I still do from time to time) has to be at least a little giddy over this.
I'm hoping the trend continues...I want K.I.T.T. as an Autobot
Not true; I am a huge Car Robots fan, and I enjoyed TF Animated alot.
A series that also had the spirit of auggie canay influencing skid-z (sorry don’t know the Japanese names for those characters), so not only do cybertronian ghosts exist in the franchise but so do human ghosts/spirits
Separate names with a comma.
